A resident Hufflepuff, how fitting of a herbology professor. You don’t always end up with your first love, and that’s something Seokjin related into his reasoning when suddenly changing from specializing in transfiguration to herbology. Only a few of the professors, namely being the transfiguration and potions ones, knew of his real reason for terminating an application for being a transfiguration teacher’s assistant. Honestly, Seokjin wasn’t the most careful with spells back in his day. A spell went horridly wrong and he ended up with a permanent set of orange furred cat ears and a tail. The worst part was that he had been directing the spell towards another student and that it only backfired because of a malfunction in his wand which he assumed was harmless. There were many things which he learned along the way, but potion making wasn’t one of them. The professor relies on the goods to keep his feline appendages out of sight. That or hats because there’s no way he’d display his pinnacle of embarrassment off. It’s not professional!

Otherwise, Seokjin is probably what you’d define as a regular Hufflepuff nerd. Sometimes, he wonders if his ‘unfortunate spell’ scrambled his DNA completely because he adores warmth much more now and can fall asleep in sunspots with ease. As a professor, he labels himself above subpar. A big heart that cares for his students, that’s what he has. As long as you put some effort in, Seokjin will meet you halfway there. He /hates/ when people pat his head because his 'cat aspects' bask in it and Seokjin has to bite his tongue a lot in case purrs come out, though they never have. Seokjin does not embrace his mistakes in that he won't allow himself to give into whatever strange pet-like desires his brain points towards. That's just too embarrassing. Instead, he'll try and act all dorky-macho or divert attention by deepening his voice so it's more authoritative.
