ABOUT ME
Swept up in the validity of his bloodline, Shin Hoseok's family was a pure blood royale, through and through. Until his mother subsequently was dubbed the outlier for having relations with a muggle born, with whom the family had willing sought out distrust. Adept at the craft herbology and divination no less, but his past shed no redeemable light. In due time, Hoseok's mother made it imperative to omit themselves from the favorable lifestyle and evidently started a family with the man. And in doing so in the name of love - a type of magic that bewilders the sensabilities of muggles and wizards alike. Soon, the bloodline would be diced into the half-blood light Hoseok now holds true. Family get togethers would sustain a bittersweet taste, and Hoseok's cousins always had the tail end of it, never ending bullying in rapid succession.
Being the only child of an optimistic future at hand, Hoseok was able to take advantage of his free will in an instant, willowing away most of his childhood in or near their apartment in Grimmauld Place. He soon grew a rapid affinity for herbology, a trait keen in his father, and wrapped it around the comfort of his own secluded mentality. He would soon apply his knowledge to the use of potions, using his mother's cauldron even when the hours dictated that he'd best be getting to bed at that age. Regardless, he's grown to live without the impending privileges his distant family had built around, as he sought out for more individualized characters to associate with and morals to abide as a result. With his family able to make do with little to nothing, Hoseok was already in the prestigious queue to attend the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. And while the goodbyes peaked a tear or two, Hoseok remains forever grateful for the abundance of something his nostalgia brings great resonance to - love.
In the earlier years of his Hogwarts education, his subconscious took a detour, trimming the edges of his wand-to-wand prowess as a priority rather than having to fail in a first year charms class blatantly. Ideally, he would have wanted to improve upon his aptitude in his Defense Against The Dark Arts class or have to risk having to repeat an introductory class, but the latter proved to dictate the outcome substantially. Hoseok's forthcoming notions would soon be obscured by latent tendencies to dismiss any sort of advancements in his studies, as his humility towards any flick of the wand grew detrimental to his confidence. Thus, creating the inevitable bubble enveloping in and around his person in the proceeding first and second years of his education. Nevertheless, the aforementioned shortcomings were enough to entice his own will and susceptibility to challenge. A change of heart grew, albeit in a gradual fashion. And eventually, Hoseok doubled his usual endeavors, the 5s became 10s and that would ultimately pertain into the number of repetitions he'd undergo with every prerequisite to each spell. The multitude of charms spewed, and in the presence of his very own plants no less, had not fallen flat for him quite. Through and through, the scale subsequently tipped towards Hoseok favorably, and the ineptness was no longer profound in his approach to spells. The newly found sense of capability had drawn their allotted contours for Hoseok well into his third and fourth year. The rest of his education is to be written in tandem with time and inevitability...
PERSONALITY
Hoseok dons the stereotypical Hufflepuff ideals in a sense, always feigning any sense of accomplishment as his humility always gets the best of him. Nevertheless, he'll be the more easy going one in the room. He'll most likely try and approach you so that you'll be inclined to talk back more comfortably than before. His aptitude in herbology has gained him a fair amount of recognition in the field, however, his preconceived notion of his best not being good enough veers towards the borderline of a Ravenclaw, but he'd hardly say so if you were to ask him yourself. Hoseok often sneaks away from the grounds to attend to a secluded garden he had set aside for himself and his peers just in case of an emergency. The small, desolate shack itself wasn't easy on the eyes but the inside demoralized any sort of negative facade, the scent of delicate asphodel that drew Hoseok in and sat him down. He never seems to stray away from the affinity that emerged well into his childhood.
Hoseok values individuality to the bone, always wanting to spare his side of the story first before letting the collective puzzle embed itself into the whole it was meant to be. He is quite popular among the social clout of the Hufflepuff house, and among the abundance of the student body, he feels more in touch with his peers. When dealing with interpersonal affairs, Hoseok would rather tap into intrinsic sentiments that stem from each individual.

My timezone is gmt-5 at the moment, and I try my best to frequent on rpr at my own leisure. School will most likely be the cause of my delay so my apologies. But usually, I'll be able to reply a couple of times in a day, and I'll definitely be on to see what's out and about. Please do keep the ooc drama away, as it affects my sensabilities with rping entirely and is overall just not the right setup for a mellow rping experience.
