Taehyung would hunt his own kind if he could. He isn't sure whether he hates humans or vampires more though, to be honest. His history starts in the Joseon era of South Korea. Although he can't say that he remembers much about it, he can remember that his parents were apart of the middle class; his mother was the illegitimate child of some upper-class woman and a middle-class man. The couple had been treated well but his mother was not. His mother was an expert in music, with her skills in numerous instruments, traditional dances, and with her ability to sing; his father was a master of calligraphy. His father was also his mother's protector. In that was where the problem was. His mother and father had so much love for one another that their love for him was practically nonexistent. He hadn't gone through anything with them, namely the turmoils produced by the families of his mother's parents. It had even gotten to the point that his parents had surrendered him in the hopes that their own lives would be spared. His vampire parents accepted the offer. It wasn't bad enough that he'd been given up to vampires, but these same vampires stole him away from life he once knew of the Joseon era, introducing him to the Victorian era of Great Britian.

He was allowed to keep his name, refusing to agree to change his name, let alone responding to nothing but his birth name. Thanks to his new life, he was allowed to learn in a different education system. Well, as best as he could for someone that didn't know the language, let alone speak it. It eventually resulted in his new parents teaching him in their own home, allowing him to learn the language and to learn the ways of the world through the books that he read.

He managed to find his way back home to South Korea when he was technically in his 30s. It wasn't easy but he managed to find his parents, reuniting with them, a meeting that left him unsure of how to feel about humans and their sincerity. It was then though that his parents finally sat and talked with him about his family history. He didn't run and he didn't try to hide from it. In fact, Taehyung felt more at ease finally learning as to why his parents never let him meet his extended family or his grandparents. He also learned that he had younger siblings, whom he took to with ease.

Taehyung spent years with his biological family, watching over them as they grew older, protecting his younger siblings as natural deaths - old age, in other words, claimed his mortal parents. After his siblings had grown up, becoming able to support themselves, he took his leave. For quite some time, he lived in various French territories, thanks to his constantly traveling vampiric parents. He still doesn't speak much, but is instead one more for actions than words. Thanks to the way that he was brought up, his education and ability with languages, and inherited artistic abilities, he's earned his respect from others by the way he carries himself.

Taehyung has always been the really sweet, bubbly kid with a beautiful outlook on life and he still is, but he refuses to let anyone get too close. He's learned to use his charming smile to get what he wants. Sometimes, his sweet smile is sincere; it's the times when it's not that one should be worried. Over the years, he's taken a liking to the humans, more than the vampires. The vampires that raised him from his change until now didn't do him too badly, but were always the kind to do what they wanted, destroying families, and lives in general, as they pleased. It made him think that, maybe, it was okay to have been taken by them so as to save his parents anymore hardship from what he'd learned they had already had to go through even before he was born. Through his travels with his vampiric family, he learned that there are good vampires, too, ones that don't mind creating friendships and bonds with humans. He decided to become one of them. To protect the humans.
