Seo Youngho always had a very complex relationship with the ever bustling and rowdy city of Chicago, Illinois. In one hand there was culture, art, history, and soul. in the other lied deceit, greed, and a world of betrayal. All his childhood he wasted trying to fit in with the crowd, to be accepted and loved by others just so he could better stand living in the city he so desperately adored.

Being an Asian-American in a district dominated by Hispanic and African-Americans surely didn't help in the young Seo boy's quest for normality. He stood out like a rainbow painted unicorn. Amongst peers from school and the neighborhood he lived in, Youngho was often looked down upon for being different despite all the efforts he made. He was seen as weak and strange, like he didn't belong. which was a dangerous combonation of traits to have in such a crime-ridden area. He was often bullied (like almost every kid at one point experiences), beaten, and pressured into making terrible decisions. starting in just his freshman year at high school, Youngho began ditching his classes and screwing off nearly half his responsibilities. He'd attend wild, outrageously mature parties every week and come home completely thrashed- even worse, sometimes he'd never return home at all. He quickly became an alcoholic. Yhe life of the party consumed him as he was finally beginning to feel as though he'd been accepted as an equal.

Continuing down this path led him to a tragic experience that he still hasn't been able to move on from to this day. Nearing his graduation as one of the school's most notorious burnouts, Youngho secretly took up work as a drug runner for Chicago's youth. He never dabbled in drugs for himself, but selling them made good cash and from the looks of his academic career, he assumed he'd never be able to have a legal future. Everything seemed to be going just fine, up until one night a very close friend of his who he sold to passed away from an overdose. Youngho did everything in his power to help his friend, but unfortunately was threatened by his boss when he tried to take him to a hospital.

How his friend's death was covered up, Youngho never knew since he drunk himself into the longest lasting black out he'd ever underwent. Three whole days he was asleep in some stranger's garage before he woke up and realized that he had to start making a few changes. Having already struggled with depression for nine years and now suffering the traumas and guilt of his friend's death, Johnny had no one to turn to. His mother was a busy woman who juggled all the duties of a low-class working mother, so she had often neglected him, having no free time to hear him out. His father was strict and had a very opinionated view of the world, of how things were meant to be. reaching out to his father was met with discern and disappointment, being told that he should 'get over' his problems and 'be a man'. Sure, there was his cherished little sister... but how could he tarnish her childhood with his own mess of a life? He refused to expose her to such monstrosities, especially considering she had a world of her own problems to deal with.

In the year 2015, shortly after Johnny turned 19 years old, he finally ventured out of his parent's care and started to work towards making his dreams a reality. He did several small jobs, sharing a run-down one bedroom apartment with three other people (all of which were suspiciously shady) as he honed in on his skills and entered several of the global audtions for Korean music entertainments that were held there in his homecity of Chicago. To the young man's luck, he was accepted into Zeta Ent. and that year immigrated to South Korea to begin the training process. Not but a few years after him did his little sister, Noh Yiyoung, follow in his footsteps and became a fellow trainee at Zeta alongside him.

For a time, Johnny struggled to balance his responsibilities at work with his private life. All of his emotions and internal conflicts had him leaning towards recklessness. Often was he getting drunk at nightclubs, reveling in careless partying and promiscuity. Little time was left to ever show up for practices or prepare for showcase events. In between the chaos he found love with the woman who he'd been a humongous fan of in previous years: Ahn Hyejin, known publicly as Hwasa. Though he had come to Korea to begin a better life for himself, he'd done nothing but weave a web of destruction. Whether intentional or not, he'd betrayed his first love, best friend, and all those who were counting on him. To top it all off, the exact anarchaic past he'd been so desperate to escape finally caught up to him.

Before he ever left Chicago, Johnny made the terrible and impulsive mistake of taking secret revenge against his old drug bosses. He successfully managed to steal a million American dollars from the cartel he used to work for, as a sort of "screw you" in response to his friend's death being covered up. They surely noticed that their money went missing and it took little time to figure out who was at fault. They found out where he was, followed him there, and gave him an ultimatum: give back their money or die. As if he wasn't stupid enough already, he defied the choices they gave him and provided another option. Instead of returning the stolen cash, he suggested that they leave him alone or else he'd reveal the details of the very death they covered up. Blackmail, in short.

The situation went from bad to worse. It sizzled into the point in which Johnny saw no better decision but to leave Korea and return to his hometown of Chicago. He sent a single message to Hwasa, telling her no details other than it was a mistake to have ever came to Korea and he was headed back home. He didn't want to involve any innocents, and surely not Hwasa who already been through so much.

Johnny truly believed he would die trying to handle the unfinished business of the past. He was gone for months as he traveled between the States and Mexico, having made a deal to do a few "favors" that would make up for all the money he stole. After everything, his beef with the cartel was finally resolved. He could go back to the one place he felt even remotely safe in.

At this point, it was a miracle his reputation amongst the industry wasn't completely soiled. He was back and prepared to take his life more seriously. Yet there was still so much left on his mind, so many worries holding him back. He may be able to save his career, but could he ever save the love he'd found before? Or his evermore haunted soul? There were several doubts, but he had to at least try.

The most notable trait Johnny possesses is that he is absolutely shameless in nearly everything he does. After years of thinking he had to conform and be like everyone else, the young man made a personal vow to stop caring for what others thought of him and to be whoever he wanted.

Typically Johnny is energetic, always looking to have a good time and make friends no matter where he is or what he's doing. You'll always find him at the nightclub or getting wasted at some party.

His humor mainly comes in the forms of sarcasm, teasing, mocking, witty banter, and quite notably, provocative or suggestive remarks. At times he will even say or act out cringeworthy things in attempts to make a person laugh or embarass them.

As someone who is immensely protective and is prone to violent, aggressive behaviors, Youngho is quick to start a physical fight. If it were up to him, he'd solve all the world's problems using only his wounded fists.

From a childhood filled to the brim with social anxiety and being denied to chance to properly express himself, he tends to hide his deepest feelings and is hesitant to open up with anyone, including close friends or family members. While he isn't always faking happiness and does show a side of him that is genuine, he never truly presents 100% of himself. If he reaches out to you in such a way, consider yourself lucky and highly trustest by Johnny.

Just like everyone else, he has fatal fears that leer over his every thought and will often hold him back from making decisions he normally would want to make. Thanatophobia -- the fear of losing someone you love. Necrophobia -- the fear of death or dying persons/things (which often is also referred to as thanatophobia).
