I absolutely hate it, when your character knows something about my character, without consulting with me (OOC) beforehand.
Phase 1: Childhood.
Ever since he knew how to socialize, Cha Eunwoo had a talent for people management. He had his facade all worked out. As he was born into a strict Catholic family, it wasn't a long shot for him take on the role of the sweet, pious boy-next-door. He never stood out, but it was hard to not know him at the same time. Eunwoo was very diligent with himself. Only the very perceptive noticed what hid behind his 24/7 mask: An uncaring, ego-centric boy who liked to see people squirm in front of him. As long as nobody got in his way, he didn't bother with them.
Phase 2: Family Crisis.
One fateful day Eunwoo (11) awoke to the poignant smell of smoke and screams. The door to his parents room was blocked, they were calling for him to free them. The apartment was on fire. For Eunwoo, unblocking the door would have been easy, but instead... a dangerous thought crossed his mind. What if he just left them there? Would they die? Could he get away with it? At that point, Eunwoo didn't feel he truly needed them anyway. And he had been interested in experiencing an orphanage lately, so, he decided to leave them behind. By the time the firemen arrived Eunwoo had 'collapsed' just outside of the apartment. That day, he became an orphan and for the first time indulged in what would develop into a rather sinister hobby.
Phase 3: Adoption.
There was one thing the young Eunwoo had failed to take into account though, his only relative: his uncle. He ended up being adopted by his mother's brother, a priest. He was too perceptive for his own good. As time passed, he started to notice that something was strange about his nephew. Whenever his parents were mentioned, he didn't flinch at all. He reacted to their death as if they were strangers. At first, everything was fine. He treated Eunwoo well, explaining the behaviour with shock. He was afraid Eunwoo had been traumatized by his parents' death and guided him further down the path of faith.
Phase 4: A Turn for the Worse.
When a classmate who had bullied Eunwoo mysteriously disappeared, he became suspicious. Suspicion turned into paranoia. The priest couldn't sleep if Eunwoo wasn't locked in his room, afraid his nephew would kill him in his sleep. Steadily growing crazy he could not seperate his delusions from reality and turn to physical and verbal abuse. Eunwoo's daily schedule was monitored with minute detail. He was basically living in a prison and he was desperate to escape. The day before the yearly health check at school, Eunwoo (15) provoked his uncle into assaulting him. His bruises were promptly discovered and his uncle was sent to a mental facility. Strangely enough, he still didn't get to enter an orphanage, but was instead taken in by his teacher. Luckily the woman was blinded by his pious image and left him all the freedom he desired.
Phase 5: Puppetmaster.
With more time to socialize, Eunwoo gained more friends, and more targets. He developed his tastes for causing suffering, and he did so in a special way. Rather than murder and torture - although he dabbled in it occasionally - that was rarely the end goal. Eunwoo would pick out a victim and proceed to steadily isolate them from the things they held dear, until they fell into depression and - at best - killed themselves. Naturally, nobody would realize that Eunwoo had instigated everything. He would just keep sitting on his imaginary throne and enjoy his target's demise. Sometimes he did it just for fun, something because he disliked them. Anyone who knew too much would silently vanish.
Phase 6: Escape.
It was just when he turned 19, just when he was starting to grow bored again that fate threw a curveball and directed his life into a whole new direction. He witnessed a and, obviously, reported it to the officials. His good-will ended up with a wealthy family out to get him for ruining their son's image. Before he could stand witness in court, he woke up on the island with a gunshot wound, his bible and rosary, and a letter from a stranger informing him that he'd been evacuated to an island and enrolled into a witness protection program. His new name was "Cheol" and he was a priest-in-training.
Plots.
1: "The mysterious man" - 0/1
Cheol never did figure out who had saved, abducted and transported him to the island. Nor does he know why a stranger would bother with a witness to something as petty as what looked like simple . Cheol doesn't know you or your motive(s), but you certainly do and have decided it is time to reveal yourself.
[very open, flexible plot]
2: "??" - 0/?
