About Changkyun
MEDIEVAL TIMES: In medieval times, Changkyun is a nineteen-year-old bounty hunter. He chose the occupation of bounty hunter because it required to learn how to fight, and also because of the thrill the job itself gives him. He loves his occupation with a passion, and would never give it up nor desire to, even when it takes a dangerous turn, such as a rival bounty hunter attacking him or his quarry ambushing him.
When Changkyun was ten years old, his father ordered the knights who had vowed to protect his two older sisters to kill them both. He made the boy watch, his own bodyguard holding him in place so that he couldn't do anything but helplessly watch. Changkyun was shocked by this occurrence, especially when he looked over and saw how widely his mother smiled. His father had claimed that it would make the boy stronger and had explained to him that his sisters' deaths were 'necessary', because, according to him, they were too weak and too useless-- merely because they were female. Had it not been for Changkyun's pleading, and a promise to marry a young man who was nearly twice the boy's age, his sisters wouldn't have even gotten a burial-- they would have been tossed out to the wild animals and carrion birds without ceremony. He met the young man shortly thereafter, and was soon being treated like he was much, much older than he was by him-- secretive whispers, random intimate touches, the courting behavior that would have been done to an older person, and not a ten-year-old boy. But, this being the medevial times, there weren't exactly the morals of the present, and Changkyun was being prepared to wed the man either way, and the young man, though touching him intimately, didn't touch him in a ual manner-- he would hold Changkyun to his side, embrace him at random, hold his hand, and occasionally ask him to dance, but maintained a certain gentlemanly conduct... but only while they were in the presence of other people. When the two were alone, his touches were more daring, nearing ual, and whenever he spoke to the younger, it was always of their wedding night. Learning that he was to be married to the man as soon as he was thirteen, Changkyun ran away from home at the age of eleven, forced to traverse through an entire kingdom and into the next just to escape from his pursuers.
Ever since, Changkyun has been unable to handle intimacy of any kind, be it a ual touch or an innocent touch. He rarely speaks of his family.
PRESENT ERA: Changkyun is I-M, the absolutely adorable maknae and lead rapper of idol group Monsta X. He's a cute ball of fluff and yet sass at the same time who his hyungs (mainly Monsta X's resident Wonhoe) affectionately nicknamed puppy. Ever since, he's constantly protesting that he's not a dog (thanks, Wonhoe).
