(n.)the journey of changing one’s way of life
The Dreamscape: He wakes up inside the dreamscape—a lifeless half-organic body of a former Jung Taekwoon—galvanized to what would hopefully be life. There is the first memory of himself as Unit L-60, the only model of a semi-automotive robotic soldier created by his father: intended to discreetly get rid of the old world. His second name then had been ‘Leo’ and he was best at what he does but somehow the wires of his internal workings hadn’t counted in getting all his humanity back. He has half a steel heart, after all.
The Awake Universe: He was born amidst the static sheets of a thunderstorm on a rainy evening in November; with lightnings that flash across the sky ten times too many. All light and all shadows, Jung Taekwoon's boyhood is waxwork of his father's architecture; a sillage of his mother's broken altars. However, he had always been the unfilial son who had never quite lived up to his parents’ expectations, and it was at that time when he works a blue-collared job as an aviation pilot that he learns he’s suffering from Eisenmenger Syndrome; a rare progressive heart condition that is most commonly associated with VSD or the hole in the heart—black hole swallowing all in its path. It’s like slowly watching the color bleed from his future: a watercolor of muted red—liquid anger in his bones, and it's white noise and catastrophic thunder all at once. Instead of trying harder to get better, Taekwoon turns into an apathetic and frivolous person despite this being not his true nature. He is angry at the world for his luck; and it is then where the globe of his mind was made of nothing but aphotic beasts sleeping and stirring underneath. Eventually he finds a temporary sanctuary in the dreamscape.
