Growing up, Youngjae was talented, sheltered, an overall good kid. He made good grades, at a young age became well known for his beautiful paintings, was well mannered; essentially, the picture-perfect son to a picture-perfect family. That was, until his senior year in high school, his life slowly started crumbling apart. His parents began lashing out at each other, threatening a divorce and neglecting Youngjae as he dealt with being cast out at school. Eventually he found himself caught up in the wrong crowd, and his grades dropped because of excessive partying, sleeping around, and experimenting with drugs and alcohol. Youngjae soon enough went from being the quiet, innocent little artist, to the school's biggest joke, putting more stress on his parent's marriage. Fortunately, he picked up his grades enough to graduate but his GPA had been far too low, that he was rejected his application to a university. This affected him the most, as he desired to go to school to get a degree in Arts and it didn’t help that his parents were harsher on him for losing the opportunity. Soon enough, not able to deal with the constant arguing home, Youngjae moved out and with a good friend until he was able to work and get a place of his own. When he turned 23, his parents invited him to a late birthday getaway cruise, and on the drive there with his parents, they were involved in a fatal car accident, costing their lives and nearly his. He was left in a coma for months and when he woke, learned that his parents had left him a hefty inheritance and their house. But even with that, Youngjae finds it hard to live there everyday without his parents. he works as a freelance artist, and struggles greatly with a drinking problem as the bitter taste of alcohol is his only escape from the stress of his life. most of the time he is cold hearted, unless he's able to warm up and be vulnerable around anyone. he also tends to spend mosst of his time home, finding solace in caring for his mother's garden.

Youngjae used to be a rebel, and was especially known for his intelligence and thieving skills. he was able to steal a computer from the government, that he uses sometimes to hack into their systems and figure out when supply shipments would come. or even if the government had plans of sending spies, youngjae would know and that's how he kept his home safe. he was also a faily skilled archer, which was why it was easy for him to hide in the shadows and kill of invading government employees. aside that however, Life was good for him in the rebel area... he had close friends who he called family, had found someone that he loved and was ready to marry...But one fateful night after making his way back home from stealing food, he was unexpectedly attacked by a group of government spies and taken to their side where he was forcibly made into a cyborg. They wiped his memory of everything and everyone he knew back home, and made him into a empty hearted, war machine. a little humanity is left within him, that haunts him with vague memories of his life before being a cyborg. but the constant battle inside him between the real youngjae and the artificial one interferes with the chip in his neck and ear. causing him to black out and break into violent episodes until he either controls himself or passes out. he has constant dreams of life before, which leaves him wondering if the damage done to him is reversible. he knows himself as either azrael or y-1004, as it is the name given to him by the government. if anyone calls him youngjae, it confuses him.

one )) lost friend )) angst+violence+drama )) living together in the rebel area, you and youngjae became inseperable friends. hunting together, taking out government spies, basically doing everything to protect your rebel home. one day you hear a rumor that youngjae had gone missing during a mission,and after not seeing him for a while, you accept that your friend is dead and gone. suddenly you spot youngjae venturing, although happy to see him, you notice that something is off about him. he doesn't remember you at all, and you realize that he's been made into a cyborg. but you notice that even as a cyborg, he still has a little humanity left. going against everything you value as a rebel, you try your best to get youngjae to remember his roots, despite his frequent, violent episodes.

you were to marry youngjae. the two of you made plans, had even gathered the rebel community up to arrange a safe day for the wedding. youngjae leaves for a mission just a week before the wedding, but days before the date, everyone returns except him. hurt, confused, and in denial, you find it hard to accept the idea that your fiance is dead, despite the rumors. for a while you lived with the hope youngjae magically appearing. youngjae does appear again, one night on a mission to kill the leader, but you spot him walking about and, emotional, you rush over to him. he points a gun at you, and its then and only then that the person you fell in love with is not there..but when he sees you, he looses sight of his mission ahead. do they reconnect..or is he too far gone?
