Daniel was born to completely unremarkable parents and seemed an entirely unremarkable child. He always had a liking for fire, however, and though his parents banned him from matches and lighters and all things flame, he persisted in his passion and soon discovered he had a gift. A gift to control flame, bend it to his will. He could make the flame grow bigger or smaller. He could make it dance or stand completely still.
As he grew, he began experimenting with his gift. At the age of 10, he pushed the limits of his abilities and lost control of a large fire, catching his house aflame and burning it and everything in it to charcoal. Including his parents.
Now orphaned and alone, Daniel ran far from any adult authority. Hunger drove him to steal food from vendors, and he was quickly snatched by a low life thieves guild. The guild consisted of very young children and controlled by two slightly older teenagers.

The Guild taught Daniel everything he needed to know about life as a thief and he quickly earned a title for himself- Tablo. As he grew, Tablo began to rebel against the leaders of The Guild. He took initiative and taught himself how to get past alarms and other security systems, something The Leaders had specifically banned.
When confronted, he harbored a grudge and planned for months his escape from The Guild. An escape that would haunt him for the rest of his life.
Unknown to him, The Leaders had been studying to become accomplished warlocks. On the night of his escape, Tablo made away with all the food and stolen goods he could carry, successfully getting past all defenses put up by The Guild. Or so he thought.
After fleeing for hours, he finally laid by a lake to rest where he could get water easily. He dozed off and woke unable to breathe. He discovered by looking at his reflection that he'd transformed into a giant serpent. He'd been cursed the second he left The Guild with stolen stolen goods.
He couldn't use his powers of fire when transformed, and he discovered the hard way that he transformed every time he felt the emotion of greed. When the transformation was involuntary, he could not transform back until he does something to help someone.
And so his cursed life began.

Tablo's personality
Tablo is meticulous in everything he does, calculating every action before actually acting. He knows very little of loyalty and honesty, only telling the truth when it gets him something he wants. Despite this, he is charming and intelligent.
