As a mere pup, Sehun knew nothing of a pack, or a family. He had a guardian responsible of ensuring the pup lived throughout its adolescence and reached adulthood. The dynamic was meant to desensitize the pup. If that wasn't enough, the "guardians" trained the pups to be cold-blooded killers, forcing the pups, when of age, to partake in atrocious tests in order to measure their progress. The tests existed to remove those too weak to continue onward while removing any trace of emotion within the victors in order to ensure the survival of the wolf species, should the hunters attack again. Those that held onto their emotions saw the fault with the process and organized a rebellion. However, the guardians anticipated the revolution and had safeguards in place to prevent anything from getting out of hand. Each of the subjects had a collar secured around their necks as long as they could remember. The press of one button would inject a sedative that would put the wolves out for exactly 48 hours, give or take based on weight.
The moment in which the guardians attempted to end the rebellion, the sound of the button being pressed reverbated within Sehun's eardrums and a force curved the needle in on itself within his collar. With the opportunity revealing itself, he cowered from the guardians, and made an escape. He didn't know where he was going aside from the fact that he needed to get away from there.
Days, week, months, possibly even years pass since he had fled that horrid place. Surviving off of animals and the occassional unlucky human soul, Sehun managed to create a life for himself as a hermit; however, he picked up on a certain talent to control metal. Sehun wanted to question the validity of the talent and simply blamed it on one of the guardian's tests. Granted, he was incredibly thankful that the gift manifested when it did. His travels eventually traversed into the realm of luck. The buildings looked too good to be true at first and he feared encountering the guardians again. However, he was greeted by a rather enthusiastic professor who introduced him to the other professors and insisted he had a home at Azrael Prep.
