Lee Hyukjae had everything he needed growing up. A loving family, affection, food, shelter... He was never unable to survive. Sure, he didn't have everything he wanted, but he learned to be grateful for what he had. Throughout his childhood, he learned how important it was to make sure everyone felt included and loved. He began work with children, volunteering in different places. Working with pups and human babies, he always felt like he connected better with children than with adults.
In his early 20s, Hyukjae worked at a children's hospital. In that time, he met a lot of children that he connected well with. The children he worked with often called him 'Eunhyuk' instead of 'Hyukjae', as it was easier for them to pronounce. Often, he introduces himself as Eunhyuk to the children he works with. However, not everything was flowers and sunshine in the hospital. Not all children made it. One particular child he was working with didn't make it through their treatment, and they passed away in the facility. This got to Hyukjae, and it put him in a small bout of depression for a short while. Rather than letting it bring him down, he let the experience build him up, giving him more motivation to work with children and help them get the help that they needed.
How did he come upon this school, do you ask? Well, after having worked alongside humans for far too long. Hyukjae decided that it was time to offer his services with people more of his kind. After being offered the job, Hyukjae decided to come and work at the daycare. He was offered the manager/overseer position, and he gladly took it. Certified in CPR and childcare, Hyukjae uses his skills to work with the pups on school grounds.

Hyukjae has always been known to be more of lover than a fighter, unless fighting is absolutely necessary. He has a very easy going attitude, and he's more likely to offer to take care of someone than request something from someone else.
Playful by nature, especially working with children for a large portion of his life, Hyukjae has always been quite easy to get along with. He's respectful and calm, another affect of working with children.
** When in rut, however, he can only go so long (2 days, in fact) before snapping. If he waits too long to take care of himself, he gets awfully cranky and snippy. Sometimes, he can get physically sick, but mostly it's just emotionally. **
