Nayeon has lived most of her life surrounded by the continuous love from her mother and everlasting warmth from her grandmother, while her father had to depart from the family due to a terminal illness when she was only two years old and had no siblings to play with or lean onto. This led her to befriend many of the kids around her age and grew easily attached to most of them, although after a while some would grow irritated of Nayeon's 'clinginess'. Eventually, the young girl realized the meaning behind the supposedly inaudiable and frustrated sighs and scurrying footsteps by herself, leading her to become very withdrawn from her peers and often stayed home with her mother doing household chores. However when she was ten, her grandmother moved to live with them and Nayeon and her developed an almost inseperable bond; she would find home within the heart-filled laughter and crinkling smiles of the elder while her grandmother would make sure that she was always happy wherever she was.

As Nayeon grew up, she became more independent and started interacting with people once again, this time learning when to stay away and when to knock (knock) on the door. While she blossomed happily, her guardians would begin to age, so Nayeon had to take up the cumbersome responsibilities and applied for part-time jobs to keep financially supporting her family. It was then she had realized her passion for photography and decided to take graphics design and photography as her major, thus moving to the city far away from home to continue her studies. Now, Nayeon lives in the monochrome metropolis with too many things on her hands, but she's fine with that. [ still kind of a wip, but this is like a basic outline uwu ;;; ]

past fairy tale life

Nayeon was Little Red Riding Hood, the little girl with a red cape and basket in hand who goes to visit her ill grandmother and comes across a wolf. However, she has no total recollection of her past life, just the same dreams of her walking through a forest and meeting a blurred and dark figure with a grin on his face and the wilderness who seems to call to her even in her sleep.

As someone who loves to explore and treasures originality, Nayeon is an open-minded individual who has lived outside the box with her deviating ideas which spark spontaneously in her eyes. Her unprejudiced and bright nature allows her to befriend many peers of different backgrounds, her lips always tugged upwards not by a puppeteer but by the sun and ending her words with soft giggles rather than briefly awkward pauses. Her cheerfulness highlights her neverending curiousity, as she always finds something intriguing about anything and everything, always willing to learn something new, but can be quite a flaw too. Like they say, curiousity is what killed the cat, and sometimes Nayeon's irresistble thirst to know makes her gullible and easily distracted from a task or two (thus mirroring her past fairy tale life's personality). However, she is able to recognize the thin line between work and play because of her hectic, daily schedules of managing her college studies and late shifts as a part-time waitress at the greasy diner. She knows that she won't always have the luxury she wants, so instead of contemplating about it she sets herself to work. Nayeon is also a perfectionist, a fact she is seemingly aware of and deeply despises about herself but has not changed her overworking habits.

Nayeon dislikes tea, bright lights, the ocean, the morning from 4am to 6am, extreme heat, people who aren't used to living in rural areas, being manipulated, cake, chocolate, traffic, [ wip ]

A not-so fairy tale friendship [ rating ]

Back in their elementary days, one and Nayeon were the epitome of the best of friends. They always had each other's backs and built a trust stronger than iron over the years and for those to come. When two came along sometime in middle school, the pair happily welcomed two with open arms and the three became an inseperable family. But then that one very day came, filled with too many misunderstandings and star-teared eyes, causing them all to drift and plant a wound a bandage could not hold together. None of them have kept in touch until life had to lead all their paths to a crossroad it suddenly decided to create, and while it hands more questions than answers one sticks out the most; will these three mend that wound they left untouched together or let it drift until it begins to bleed red?
