jongin is a very friendly and relaxed person. he tends to go along with the flow of things and does his best to avoid unnecessary confrontation. Because his work can be so dangerous and stressful, he prefers to spend his free time winding down and having fun. those who don’t know him might think that he’s too carefree and irresponsible, but those close to him know it’s somewhat of a defense mechanism for the moral battle he’s been fighting for years.

 

When working, jongin goes by the name kai. Kai is the opposite of jongin—a smooth talker, manipulative and seductive in nature. In order to pass as a vampire and get the information he needs he’s constantly observing those he encounters, but he knows he can never get too attached. As a result, kai can come off as detached.

Throughout the years, Jongin’s family has played a prominent role in the fight against vampires. They made a name for themselves in the early days, when the fight had just begun, by producing weapons in mass numbers and teaching humans about vampire’s weaknesses. Even today their line continues—he can’t think of one uncle, cousin, or brother that didn’t agree that vampires must be exterminated. For a long period of his life Jongin himself trusted blindly in his parent’s teachings, believing his purpose in life was in watching the life fade from any vampire that crossed his path.

 

However, after a run in a merciful and understanding vampire, he lost his way. His aversion for violence and the words the vampire spoke to him that day made him wonder whether he was really doing the right thing. In order to keep from angering his parents, Jongin suggested becoming a spy instead of a hunter. His teachers had always complimented his quick reflexes and ability to get himself out of dangerous situations using words alone. Now he uses his talents to pick out the vampires that use their powers against humans and get rid of them.
