Jieun never truly wanted to fit in. Having been the oldest among her three siblings, she was always made to be the intelligent one, the girl that could do everything and never complain, the one who could have any boy she wanted - if she only wanted. in her teenage years obeying her parents' words was way easier than trying to ignore them and do her own thing, so the time of her rebellion displaced to when she eventually moved out of her hometown - a tiny village somewhere along the easter coast of south korea - to the capital city of south gyeongsang, busan.

jieun practically jumped at the chance to be finally able to leave her native sides for the great unknown, the big city and the adventures that the mere name of it promised. moving in into an apartment together with a friend - who never truly told about her plans to have her boyfriend move in aswell - and for a couple of months, she felt as if she grew wings. eventually being able to fulfill her desire not only to study what had always been a great passion of hers - Japanese & Korean literature - but also write a novel on her own, without anyone telling her it's not luctrative and that she should better change her likings and interests to something less specific than dreaming up stories. it seemed as if she could finally do what she wanted - after all, she wasn't underaged anymore, her first book seemed to have become a success and the vision of being honored with a prize dedicated to the young generations' authors being not part of a dream but factuality. until one day matteres appeared to change.

the couple she was living with turned out to have broken up. her friend moved back to their hometown, leaving her rather unsymapthetic boyfriend behind. the male didn't have the intentions to move out aswell, despite the fact that him and jieun didn't really like each other; contrary even, the hatred they've felt for each other was tangible with bare hands. the ultimatum has been hit on one summer's day; after walking back from uni, jieun spotted a stray kitten strolling through the street beside their apartment building without any sign that could state it's belonging to someone. deciding to take it inside and phone the landlady whether she could keep it, jieun bought a few snacks for the new, four-pawed roommate of hers only to find it gone once she came back from her little shopping trip. things've hit the boiling spot when it turned out it was the male who threw the cat out. the female relitated the next day, throwing his belongings out of the window. in a matter of a week she got visited by detectives; she broke the law by throwing away the male’s belongings, gets fined and receives a criminal record. coming back to her hometown after a happening like that seemed to be a faulty choice - once the gossip has spread, jieun began to feel even more alienated than she ordinarily did and thus decided to save up enough money to be able to go from place to place on her own. having already lived in the mountains, the suburbs of daegu and gwangju and finally at korea's other seashore, she eventually found herself moving in into the apartment building, tired from having to move all the time and hoping the place might become a home for her.

Tranquil and tight-lipped it's really difficult to hear voice her opinion if you're not acquaintances. she's pretty much the opposite of a social butterfly, allowing but a handful of people into her life that she still tries to figure out. at times she seems to be lost in reality, truth being that she actually is - she has never regretted the choices she's made, though thoughts whether the experiences she has already gained will help her in the future. she doesn't care about other's opinions at all being a great individualistic mind that'll try to create a new path rather than take one others have already walked on.

despite being quiet, her words are always outspoken and witty - she tends to speak quite poetically, describing reality with such vivid colors that not listening to her becomes a tough task to complete. she might seem cold on the outside, but truth is she's just very selective if it comes to people she wants to have in her life - actuality is that she's sensitive and sensible; takes care of whoever is dear to her heart and is up to protect them at all cost even though her petite posture would tell the contrary.

I. pure ooc stuff: my timezone is gmt+1, but i'm practically the human version of the statement 'sleep is for the weak' so just watch me reply at 3am / i go by the name of lexie, so there's no need to call me by my character's name.

II. i'm up for any kind of plot! you don't need to have one dreamt up already, i get ideas quite fast so just let me know what you're in the mood for and we can start rping.

III. i mostly stick to para/multipara and if you're lucky you might even get sth along the lines of novella. my preferred pov is 3rd, but i can also do 1st if you really can't do the first option.

IV. if you reply with a one liner i'll kick you and you'll fly to the moon. i treat rping quite seriously and i expect others to write at least one long paragraph. you don't need to mirror the length of my replies and i know it's hard to come up with something decent at times, but at least try not to irritate me with short stuff.

V. it usually takes me from a few hours to a day to reply. i'm a pretty busy human-being, even though i've got vacations. poke me after three days hence i might have forgotten to reply. if i won't be able to reply to you within a day, i'll let you know per pm.

VI. if you aren't content with the plot you've come up with, please let me know. i don't like dropping stuff while being in the middle of it, so tell me if you want the plot to take other turns as i'm usually open to changes.
