Mina was born in Kobe, Japan to two loving parents, who happened to be longtime high school sweethearts. Two years after she was born, however, her father passed away due to a severe case of pnumonia, as he had a very weak immune system. This left Mina's mother devasted and forced to raise her only daughter on her own. Though she did so with the utmost determination that she would raise her daughter right and to be a respectful citizen of society. And Mina grew to be exactly that. She was known for being a very respectful and polite girl, and as she got older, she also started to gradually realize just how many sacrifices her mother was making for her. Balancing three-part time jobs and volunteering at a local community center while also trying to give her daughter the attention and care she needed. This made a heavy impact on Mina, and from then on, she decided that she would do her absolute best to lighten the load her mother always had to carry, whether by washing the dishes or even making her a simple cup of tea at the end of a tiring day. The money her mother tried so hard to make was never enough, however, and they constantly had to move to different areas of Japan where the rent was cheap and jobs were easier to get and maintain. Once Mina reached sixteen years old, she already had two part-time jobs herself, and with that, her mother and herself were finally starting to make a steady income. Things finally seemed to be looking up for the duo. Happiness didn't seem to last forever in the lives of the Myoui's it seemed, as things decided to take a turn for the worst one night. Mina was on her way home from a late night shift at the convinience store when she was attacked in the middle of the streets. Her assailant dragged her into an abandoned alleyway, robbed her, beat her, then ually assaulted her before leaving her for dead. This series of events turned Mina into a shell, and life wasn't the same for her or her mother after that. A few months afterwards, she found out she was pregnant through the means of an unfortunate miscarriage while she was still in school. Because of this, she became her schools laughing stock and '', with people judging her left and right without even knowing who she really was on the inside. Eventually, all of the comments combined with the fact that no one would give her the time of day to listen to her troubles or try to get along wth her, it lead her to gradually become mute, losing her voice completely and locking it away subconsciously. Upon turning eighteen, her mother decided that they should have a fresh start, and the two moved to Seoul, South Korea. Mina decided that she wanted to be independent, however, and against her mothers wishes, she moved into an apartment not too far away from the apartment complex her mother resided in. It didn't take long for her mom to fit in, the elder woman falling in love with one of her co-workers and moving in with him. They two girls kept in touch as Mina entered college. It's a new start, a new life, and Mina is determined to make the most of it.
personality
Mina is a very shy, withdrawn girl who mostly keeps to herself, feeling safest when she's in her own personal bubble and not bothering herself with the outside world. She's very kind and caring, though also highkey awkward, but would also easily give a kidney to a dying person on the street without hesitation. That kindness, however, she felt has always been one of her biggest downfalls. She's hella antisocial, yet also respectful. If close to her, she can get very clingy, but in the end, she's just a very endearing girl who has been through hell and back, and just wants to feel loved and wanted. She loves to dance, and she loves sweets. Give her cake and she'll probably love you forever. Did I mention she's mute?
