Jinhwan was born into riches, his father being a renown surgeon, and his mother was the heir to one of the top 5 star hotels in the country. His parents wanted their son to take after either of them in his career, and considering his high grades in high school as well as his family's influential name, it was easy for Jinhwan to get in one of the most elite universities. Even though Jinhwan was a pretty good kid during his school years, he still managed to get in a bit of trouble every now and then, to the point where his parents had to transfer him to a private high school in hopes of halting his deviant ways. It had indeed worked but only for a while.

Now at the prime age of 20, Jinhwan is attending Seoul Elite University for law just as his parents had wished him to, but of course not without a price however, he was growing more and more tired of hearing how he needed to uphold the family name, and eventually get married and possibly take over his mother's business. None of which the male wanted himself. Instead he wanted to pursue a career in being a tattoo artist, and with his drawing skills he had all of what it took except for his parents blessing. Sure he could always just take the money he needed to fund his building and such, but that also ran the risk of his intentions being discovered, his parents would of course decline his passion, brushing it off as some sort of delinquent phase as they did anything Jinhwan did that went against their liking.

And due to their consciousness of their image, Jinhwan never had the chance to explore what it meant to truly date anyone, the airhead stereotypical females that his parents urged him to date only disgusted him further. It also helped to develop Jinhwan's inability to commit, finding the idea of monogamy constricting and not only because it went against his parents wishes, the thought of belonging to someone was repulsive to him. In his rebellion towards his parents, Jinhwan had taken quite a few partners in which all were men, who never made it past the stage of being a mere friend with benefits, he would often have as many as he desired at once, his parents never once finding out about his escapade however. He figured he could do just about whatever he wanted as long as he stayed in the school of their choice and steered clear of anything that would tarnish their oh so precious name. Jinhwan intended to do just that, so as long as he received what he wanted in return. He even had his own condo, and a few cars as well. It was almost as if he was being paid by parents to go to school, and well technically he was, but how could he complain even if it did hinder his freedom a bit, it did little to stop Jinhwan from doing as he pleased whenever they weren't breathing down his neck on their seasonal visits.

Jinhwan is a bit of a brat to say the least, however that didn't alter his attitude as he tends to be quite nice and outgoing despite his looks which make him seem rather snobby. Even though he had a terribly low tolerance for alcohol he still end up being the life of whatever party he goes to. He is extremely touchy towards those he considers his friends, but also frequently finds himself lost in a rather bad crowd outside of his university due to his acute naivety.
