jeonghan's childhood is kind of normal. well, if you count being in an orphanage since he was abandoned on the front steps as a baby normal. he doesn't know what love is. the kind of orphanage he lived in weren't eager about showering the kids with love or keeping them happy. no, they were asked to do work; sew buttons or parts on a stuffed toy, making crafts, baking cookies. all the profit never went anywhere but into the pockets of their headmistress who grew fatter with each change of seasons while the children remained scrawny thin. when he was fourteen, he was kicked out after being 'diagnosed' with tuberculosis. it was prevalent in their area that time and the moment jeonghan started hacking air from his lungs, he was chased into the streets with nothing other than the clothes he was wearing. fortunately for him, a sweet old lady found him curled up several blocks away and took him in. unfortunately, she died a year later. but by then jeonghan's will to survive had been revived and so he ended up as a barista in a local coffeeshop.
