Still not a K-pop fan. Just some ordinary guy with two hobbies:
Running, and non-academic, not-so-technical, creative writing.
Manners maketh man.
Description
Name: Dennis Oh
Age: 25
Archetype: Anti-Hero; Trickster
uality: Aual-Heteroromantic
Position: Duke of Grimspire
Personality
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
MBTI: ENTJ
Character inspired by:
Petyr Baelish (Game of Thrones)
Tyrion Lannister (Game of Thrones)
Dennis is manipulative, cunning, strategic, and very enigmatic, because his intentions are indecipherable. He is never interested in gaining more political power because kingmakers stay longer than kings. Dennis never wanted to be the Champion—instead, he wanted to be the Gamemaker. His enemies aren't people, but rather the ideologies they worship. You could consider Dennis as a post-modern man (inspired by Lyotard's definition)... but with a direction in mind.
Background
Dennis never knew his mother but his stepmother never fails to remind him that he was the bastard in the family. When his father caught a rare disease that gave the old man two more months, Dennis (at 17-years-old) conspired to kill his step-siblings and stepmother just so he could inherit his father’s status. He hired a assassin to murder everyone—but as it turns out—Dennis killed the assassin during their payment-transaction and pledge it as murder out of self-defense in front of the high court. In the end, no one except him knew the truth.
Everyone who heard the tragedy pitied Dennis, and thought of him as a kind, charming young man with a bright future as the new Duke. He always displayed a great deal of interest towards politics, utilizing the benefits of being outside the spotlight—because being unnoticed is the best way to make friends with the most dangerous people outside the throne.
Skill Set
1.) Deception and Psychological Warfare - are two of Dennis' primary weapons; usually subtle to guarrantee long-term results.
2.) Military Strategy - compsensates for Dennis' lack in physical strength. His intensive knowledge in military engineering and strategy (inspired by the Mongol Empire and the Art of War respectively) puts him in a favorable position without risking himself getting wounded.
Grimspire
Inspiration: Alaska and Luxembourg
Location: Far North
Economy: Gold and textile are their main exports.
Emblem/Colors: Magpie; Silver Flag
Grimspire is a tiny region located in the far north. Such location is extremely beneficial to its economy. There are many gold mines shielded by the harsh weather conditions from neighboring regions who thirst for gold. This would also imply less investments on the military (which usually consist of elites who trained under the harsh weather) and more on the economy, but the fact that it is a small region with less population would mean less need to invest in roadworks and infrastructure.
But Grimspire isn't entirely perfect, given that it is almost isolated and its maritime trade is severely underdeveloped. And so, Dennis decided to open Grimspire to his allied regions for trade and investment—giving the most dangerous and most scarced gold mine for them to fight over while he reaps the benefits of discounted imports. That being said, Grimspire is self-sufficient; mostly thriving independently on its own.
RP-ing Style (Please read before asking to RP)
Flexible - The content is dependent on scene. The length is dependent on the content. For example, if we are doing an action scene or an establishing scene then the content is primarily descriptive and long. However, if the plot calls of a war of words or psychological warfare, then the content would be dominated by dialogue and naturally shorter.
Extra Characters - It is important for me to include extra characters (a patrol guard, a butler, or passer-by) and I am willing to godmodd extra character as long as they are male. I will consult with you before introducing a major-extra character that we can dispose at some point in the plot.
