Chanyeol had come from a planet consisting of other werewolves. he's used to being blunt and territorial. most of his kind fight for what they believe in but the alpha is known for being rather calm headed until his friends are being insulted or in some cases himself. he'd been raised with his best friend, baekhyun, who had come to the strange planet that seems to be mostly city and not the usual forests and fields they're used to. It was a definite major upgrade from a cabin in a field with mats for beds and hunting for food. here it's just supermarkets and hunting consists of taking things off of a shelf. he takes whatever moments he can to shift and now go to the woods he'd found out to be not far from campus as a little reminder for his own home since it makes him feel closer even if it's still a good few planets away. He'd taught himself nearly everything he'd known until a tutor came along and saw the potential in him, Baekhyun, and three other wolves. He signed them up for a scholar program on the college they're at now and that's how they got there... and chanyeol had met the love of his life... that just doesn't feel the same or know how wolves function or- many other complications admittedly, but things will work out... right?
personality
chanyeol has always been a dreamer and a scholar. he and the other four studious wolves had been made fun of their whole lives, admittedly. the naysayers had said the studies were useless in the wilds, yet here they were. chanyeol had always been the leader they needed, encouraging them not to give up and keep going about doing as they pleased seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and always saying "there's a reason we're like this and we'll find out one day." his beliefs had proved right and now he's trying hard to keep them going for himself as well... he gets discouraged rather easily and distracted... and happy again. the werewolf is admittedly more driven by emotions more than his thoughts, but once he realizes his mistakes, he throws himself fully into trying to make up for them. the things he's sure as hell is known for are his dedication... and protectiveness. if anyone had gone to his home planet and asked, they would have answered that, his playfulness, or his love for the stars. Maybe, just maybe, it had been because his love was among them so far away and now right here in front of him but still so out of reach.
