since he was young, Daniel.often struggled with his health. he was diagnosed with a disorder called narcolepsy, which is a decreased ability to regulare a sleep cycle. So he may fall asleep several times throughout the day for seconds, or even minutes. 

with a disorder like narcolepsy, daniel also suffers through it's symptoms such as sleep paralysis, hallucinations, or even cataplexy, which is when one loses control of their muscles and collapse from strong emotions such as laughter. Daniel often went through moments where the cataplexy kicked in, and often collapsed when he laughed or was angry. so his parents broought him to the hospital where they perscribed him with modafinil.

After moving out of his parents house when he finished high school, he got a part-time job as a busboy to bring in some money to pay for rent and groceries, as well as helping pay for his schooling. afte rthinking he could handle both, he went back to school as a full-time dance student despite his narcolepsy. now he often finds himself not only struggling with the symptoms of his narcolepsy, but also high levels of stress from a busy schedule.

He struggles to balance work and school, and often overworks himself in order to get what needs to be done, done. Though, this often results in him fainting from over exhaustion and dehydration, as well as not getting proper nutrients from foods. Several trips to the hospital resulted daniel finding out that he could potentially place himself in a fatal situation if he didn't fix his schedule. 

whatever sleep he got wasn't good enough to give him the proper energy, and not taking the time to relax would only make it worse. so Daniel often thought about getting himself a little friend that could help him stop and take breaks from his busy schedule until one day he decided to crack down and adopt one.

At a frst glance, Danial may seem on the more aloof side, but that isnt true at all.. Daniel has quite a big heartm and of couse, has grown a soft spot whenever cats are included in the picture. Despite always being so tired and stressed, he does his absolute best to put a smile upon his face and greet everyone with warm welcomes. 

However, that doesn't mean daniel is all smiles and laughs. He can get a bit hot headed if something goesn't go the way he wanted it to, and though he tries not to take out his anger on others, sometimes it's hard to avoid. Though if it does happen, he often feels upset with himself and tends to disappear until he feels better again.
