history
about where i'm from.
Like every child, Jimin had a dream. A big dream. Since he was young, he had a very special taste in music. He never stopped singing and he never stopped dancing. His parents put up with him for a couple of years thinking it'd be a phase that he'd eventually grow out of; because they had bigger plans for him. But when he told them that's he starting to take dance lessons at school and take extra classes for music, they got angry. They tried to turn Jimin away from his 'fake and impossible dream' and instead tried forcing him to be a lawyer or a doctor. However, Jimin never listened to them. He had to suffer through their harsh words and discouragement for years and his father would continuously beat him. He'd go to school wearing bruises all over him but the teachers said nothing to help him get out of the situation. Just recently, he took an even bolder step; coming out of the closet to his extremely Christian parents. He tried telling them that this is who he is and he couldn't understand why they didn't love him for who he is. His father lost it that day. Jimin remembered that being the worst beating he'd ever had. However once rumors of him being homoual spread, he also had to endure cruel bullying. He's still the wallflower, still the abused and shy kid, but he's trying to set himself free.
A couple months back, Jimin was diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and PTSD from his abuse. Jimin has always thought that he'll never be good enough - for anyone. So he works hard to be a perfectionist; pushing him way past his own limit and never stopping even if it takes him to the hospital in the end. He struggles with the need to prove himself to everyone around him, to please everyone and when he fails to please even just one person - he tries twice as hard to try again. He stands up after being knocked down and tries and tries and tries until he succeeds. And despite his hardships, he still continues to pursue his dream of becoming an idol.
personality
about who i am.
he's typically known as the wallflower of the school; never being noticed, never being talked to, and always sitting alone no matter where he is. but despite this, jimin is a very high-spirited boy, aside from growing up in a rough childhood. he's always looking out for everyone (even complete strangers) and is more than willing to put people ahead of himself; even if he's in turmoil. he's more kind than he should be and definitely very giving by nature. due to his light and warm personality, it's very rare to not get along with jimin since he's extremely friendly. but despite his friendliness, despite his sweetness, he's living under somewhat of a mask; hiding what he's truly feeling inside.
at first glance, behind the black rimmed glasses, jimin's typically shy and reserved. he has an outer-shell and no one really knows what he's truly like, mainly because no one has taken the time to do that. whenever someone actually speaks to jimin, he's always very surprised and usually doesnt really know what to say, ending up stuttering over himself.

You have heard of Jimin a couple of times. And even if you haven't, someone might have mentioned him to you. Either way; you know his name and you know how he is with people. At first, you kind of dispise him; in an industry like this, no one can afford to be as nice as he is because 'nice guys always finish last'. But one day you're walking around the agency in a self-tour or maybe just out of boredom and you happen to stumble upon the dance practice room. Jimin is there, of course he is - people say that he basically lives there. There's a song playing in the background, one you don't recognize, but it still has a very good rhythm to it. And you watch Jimin move, dancing to the beat and moving his bod to it like he was born from the beat of a song. He seemed so concentrated into the dance that he hadn't noticed you watching. So when Jimin starts to waver on his feet, you rush into the room to prevent Jimin from collapsing. Jimin tries to push away at first; saying that he needs to do this, that he just needs to do it one more time, that there's a part he just can't seem to nail perfectly. That since he's in Wish, he has to put his full dedication and perfection into this or he might just get booted. You argue back, telling him that he needs to rest - that he looks like he's been here for 2 days without proper sleep or even a meal. That's when Jimin snaps and goes on a tyrant about how you supposedly don't understand to live like he had lived and experience what he had experienced; that he feels like everyone's expectations of him are so heavy on his shoulders but it's the expectations he set for himself that is the heaviest of them all. Your resolve for him falters and after an emotional argument that leaves Jimin in a heap of tears on the floor, you manage to coax him out of the building and take him to a restaurant to get some food in his system before bringing him back to his apartment. Jimin meekly thanks you in embarrassment; he had never wanted anyone to see that side of him and tries to give you something in return. But you say no, that you're fine with friendship instead. And Jimin just smiles at you, practically beaming like this is the first time someone has ever said that to him.
