it was simple for him, finding his way where he needed to go, as long as he could see. his senses had been heightened ever since he fell. that first week, however, was painful. his head throbbed, his vision was blurry; everything was muted, dull, and he felt like he couldn't breathe. the world moved in slow motion for that week, and it was never the same since then.

hanako was there when no one else was. he didnt need words of comfort, especially when his head was throbbing. ever since falling from the tree, just for a silly little flower, he would get horrible migraines every once in a while. it was those times that he would need hanako the most. in away, the fox was a service animal, there for him to help him along his way. hanako knew when the headaches would come, and would urge the fairy boy to rest. he trusted hanako with his life.

hearing was a whole other issue. everything was muted, as if he were listening to conversations when underwater. he wasnt very good at listening, as it was, but he was attentive. reading lips became his specialty, though a softly muttered "what" or "huh" was often interrupting many conversations. he wanted to hear. he wanted to know the words, for what they were. he didnt just want to guess, he wanted to really know. but he wouldnt. he never would. the fairies had tried to heal him, but it didnt work. what he had done, falling from that tree, had damaged him beyond repair.

no beauty or act of cunning could bring him back what he wanted. and thus, he suffered in silence.

honestly, he can be a bit of a . he's fairly judgemental, but he keeps to himself a vast majority of the time. he can be seen as a bully, but really, he's just a little insecure bun. he doesnt take drama or angst or conflict well, so he usually steers clear from all of that. dont be offended if he doesnt take a liking to you immediately; usually, its better to befriend his familiar first before trying to befriend him. he'll soften up that way <3

as a fairy,  hongbin has wings. he can make them appear and disappear on command, but he honestly doesnt like to just flaunt them around. he thinks they're a little girly, but deep down he really adores them.

he is more attuned to nature. he has the ability to grow flowers on command, which for a while he hated (such a stupid waste of powers - hongbin, probably) but he has come to love it. he appreciates beauty, in all of the little ways, especially ever since his accident.

he is able to communicate telepathically with others, though he tends not to use that ability unless he absolutely has to (usually, he reserves it for speaking with hanako, his familiar).

along with this, he has the ability of telekenisis. this means he has the ability to move objects with his mind. however, he isnt very strong in this. he can do it, but it drains him greatly and he is instantly tired.
