kim jiwoo has always been the bright one in her group of friends, the one to cheer them up when they're down and laugh with them when they're happy. at least, until her parents started fighting, eventually leading to a messy separation and her father leaving to stay with his parents. her mother hasn't been in the best of moods, occasionally taking it out on jiwoo through unreasonable scoldings. jiwoo can't bring herself to tell her friends her troubles and bring down everyone's spirits especially with holidays coming up, so she put on a mask of happiness. she somehow ended up on this field trip, hoping to escape the problems at home for a while and maybe find comfort in the strangers she meets on this trip.
