myoui mina was born at san antonio, text, united states on march 27 2000. she's a japanese-american citizen and since she was young, she had always transferred from school to school due to her mother having to move places a lot. her parents had already divorced when she was very young, and as a result, mina doesn't remember much about her father, but she doesn't mind. however as a result of her changing schools often, she barely had any friends in her life. as a young child, she's shown talent in dancing and has enrolled in dancing classes to follow her passion. she mostly studied ballet. 

she is also a figure skater and has participated and won figure skating competitions. she met her coach when she was only 10 at a public ice skating rink. recognizing mina's talent for figure skating, her coach took her under his wing and trained her. however she took a hiatus from figure skating at the age of 16 to focus on her studies more. she still trained, but she didn't focus on it as much as she should have.
