Jisoo grew up in a home with a wizard for a father and a squib for a mother. Though they lived in relative peace, being a perceived halfblood because of his status made him seek approval, not only from his father and mother as they both would tutor him until he had to go to Hogwarts, but from his professors and peers too. Though he did well in all his subjects, he thrived in transfigurations, loving the idea that with a little hard work and a little magic, you could change something's entire anatomical composition.
His core traits are approval-seeking, slightly patronizing, realistic, orderly, resilient, loyal. He tries to see all problems from many sides but leaning to a more negative or more positive outcome is unlikely unless he's looked at the facts. If a problem turns out to be harder than it looks, Jisoo usually won't stop trying to solve it unless he's exhausted all resources. He likes things spic and span, all in order and will follow rules to a T. His wand is birch wood with a core made of unicorn hair, mermaid scales and hippogriff feather. It's fairly rigid with a length of 11 inches.
Being as great as he is in transfigurations, Jisoo decided over the summer to try and get his animagus form. The month before school, he held the single mandrake leaf in his mouth. Then he spat it into a moon struck phial when he got to school, and put one of his own hairs into it, a silver teaspoon of dew that has not seen sunlight or has been touched by human feet for 7 daysand a Chrysalis of a Death's Head hawk moth. He had chest that he put it into and locked, putting silencing and protection charms around it before hding it in a hidden drawer. Now, he is just waiting for an electrical storm to come, each sunrise and sunset he is chanting the incantation " Amato animo Animato Animagus" with his wand pointed at his heart. Just in case he forgets this or is in the middle of something, he spelled his watch to be intune with each sunrise and sunset so he is able to complete his task.
