during her hatstall, she uttered under her breath one word, "slytherin." it wasn't the prestige nor the notoriety that came from the name. it was the fact that there were so little heroes that were slytherin. she muttered that name because she sought to garnish her slytherin attributes and use them for the betterment of the wizarding world, to prove that they too, could be heroes. i mean even hufflepuff has more heroes, for god sake. 

when she attended school at hogwarts, min excelled at arithmancy -- a subject that would soon come to aid her during her earlier profession: curse-breaking. when she finished her schooling she interned at gringotts before becoming a full-time curse breaker. it was utterly fulfilling for her. she got to travel the world, indulge in many cultures, and attain precious treasures for the ministry and gringotts.

 

curse-breaking is a terribly dangerous career, for the hexes that plague and protect these magical sites are not only hard to break but deadly to unravel. but min could do it, she still can. which is how she became acquainted with the dark arts. 

 

soon enough she not only became known for accumulating these riches and being successful as a curse-breaker, but she did another thing while she was away in these remote areas. Min began to teach the magical children in rural areas who could not attend a wizarding school. she only taught them the basics and instilled the need to purse further knowledge, so that they would become self sustaining in the endeavor to reclaim their magic. 

it was that of which made her name even more known--- so much so that her name had even came across during discussions of hiring a new professor at hogwarts. she was offered a position there, and from then on became the professor of defense against the dark arts and arithmancy. 

every now and again she'll take a sebatacle for a clandestine mission for the bank or the ministry involving her past, but she always comes back to hogwarts and her passion for teaching. 

during min's years of curse-breaking, she came across something that has suspended her youth, but has come with a nasty set of side effects. she will not share what exactly those are unless you are close to her; and she will certainly never reveal her true age.
