selena gomez, the schools cheerleading captain. surely, she’d be a typical college girl. y’know.. partying, getting wasted every night, thirsty. but.. that’s actually so far away from whom she actually is. let’s rewind. selena comes from a home of two parents and two younger brothers; a life where everything was supposed to be fine and dandy. well, it was! for a few years, that is. all until her brothers came into the world. she didn’t hate them, she couldn’t find it in her heart to hate them. but she hated what they’d done to the relationship with her and her parents. everything went wrong so fast. it was like…. they were a completely new set of parents; people that she’d never seen before. they hated her, /despised/ her. she had to grow up in a blink of her eye, learn to do things on her own. and that’s exactly what she did. she went on missions by herself, alongside her best friend ron /occaisionally/. her parents would simply slide her a check instead of tucking her in, buy her things instead of saying the phrase she’d always craved for. she was happy to move out on her own, using the money that /she’d/ earned herself. all of the checks of her parents — they were tucked away into a drawer. she didn’t need them, any of them. and most definitely not their money. she gets by pretty well, she’d say. how does she make so much money? her job, of course. but money isn’t what she loved so much about her life. it was the adventures that she goes on. who needs partying when you can adventure? overall, selena is figuring out who she is, and she's trying to keep her past in the past. don't question her demons, and most certainly don't make assumptions. you don't know her, and most certainly, you don't know her story. that's for you to find out.

selena, not to toot her own horn or anything, is one of the coolest people you’ll ever meet. she’s incredibly strong, smart, considerate, kind, hardworking — was there any flaws within her? why, of course. behind that strong, smart, considerate, kind and hardworking girl is a lost one. she’s got nothing figured out. she’ll do her job, she’ll get her assignments done and she’ll smile and respond, ‘oh, i’m doing just fine.’ though, she doesn’t like to acknowledge or face her demons, and always pushes them away. she enjoys keeping up her flawless image. it was important to stay busy. she’s one of the most adventurous people you’ll ever meet. after class, long weekends and breaks? they’re full of spontaneous adventures. even overnight sometimes. if you befriend her, successfully, you’ll never be bored. selena never necessarily goes too deep into her home life, or her family. why? well — it didn’t necessarily bring up the best memories. that’s all anyone needs to know. it was her demons again, that she wasn’t into facing. the past that she was trying to release so that she could move on. though, the past had consequences. her heart was shielded by many, many walls. again, she’s smart. naive isn’t even in her dictionary. overall, selena is an extrovert. no matter who you are, she’ll talk to you. she’s strong. she’ll stand up for herself, she’ll stand up for you. while trusting others were hard for her, trusting her wasn’t. she’s one of the most trustworthy friends you’ll ever, ever, meet.
