Kaori Iida

Morning Musume (1997-2005) / Soloist (2005-current)

(Note: My portrayal of Kaori contains some AU elements.)

Kaori began her career as a member of a new Japanese idol group at the age of 16. Initially, she and others auditioned as a vocalist of a rock band. She was not chosen. However, she and four other finalists were chosen to form a new group named Morning Musume.

Over the years, new members were added and others left (graduated). Kaori graduated from the group in 2005. After that, she was a soloist.

Currently, in addition to her solo career, she works with Up-Front Management as a producer and manager. Recently, she adopted a baby girl named Seta.

Many of the younger Hello! Project members look up to Kaori as a mentor and a motherly figure. She delights in cooking and baking treats and meals for them.

(On another site, I had roleplayed a storyline with another roleplayer where Kaori and Natsumi, another 1st generation member, began dating and later engaged. That storyline was never completed, and I would love to do that storyline again, preferably with Natsumi again. However, I will consider another member close to Kaori's age. If interested, let me know. Knowledge of Hello! Project is strongly encouraged.)
