damon was brought into the world under slightly strange circumstances. his mother was from a very poor family and had an affair with the representative of their county, and was told to have an abortion. he was premature by a month following a car crash, and she ended up dying from a brain hemorrhage. damon lived, and his father took custody of him; telling his wife it was a show of good faith. he never grew to be more than 5'3 due to his early birth, and has suffered with a low capacity lung and heart problems as well as a very low bmi, brittle bones and weak muscle development. 

he was treated like their other two children, but not with the same level of affection from his father. him and his sister were close to their mother, but he was, most often, emotionally neglected despite the lavish gifts and pocket money well over two thousand dollars. The neglect caused him to become a troublemaker, largely due to his older sister's influence. his parents sent him back to england for him to attend a boys school and to reform him. without their permission, he came back and made them pay for the closest private school they could find.  when they were staying in a hotel in new hampshire, they committed arson on an abandoned house which cause him to be burned on one of his arms quite severely. His father got him out of holding by bribing the officer, and damon only got a warning. almost immediately after the incident, at age fifteen, he put a tire iron through the city hall window following an argument involving his dad. he ditched the scene and was never reprimanded for it. even after that, he smashed the car window of the woman running alongside his father for his spot as the rep.  his father at this time was having another affair with the former mayor, of whom he practically smuggled to get him into office. being the nosey kid he was, he caught them in the act and was allowed to drop out of high school to keep quiet- which he accepted. 

he started to paint after his therapist of six years told him he would benefit from it, and had already been collecting antiques since age ten. wanting to get rid of the clutter, he started selling both on an etsy and ebay shop. around the same time, his father was arrested for corruption after it was made public that he had paid off poll counters to add ballots in his favour. like the slippery fish he was, he dodged jail time and instead had to take one term out before being readmitted. damon also went on vacation with his mother to the isle of wight. while there, he befriended a group of layabouts and he was briefly in a band with them until he returned home. during his time with them, he got into a few kinds of pills, like xanax, valium and equanil, and during a rehearsal; an amplifier blew and caused him to go partially deaf at times. his left ear is registered at about 75% hearing loss at times, and can only hear certain tones with no directional hearing.
