Born to a former female kpop singer and a perfectionist man who was the CEO of the company Sooyoung’s mother was under, Sooyoung had big dreams as a child. She loved getting whatever she wanted and she strived to also get what she thought was rightfully hers. Sooyoung soon became a Fashion Magazine Editor and met her soon to be husband, Godfrey Gao; a marriage counselor, shortly afterwards at a local coffee shop during their lunch break one day (which is a complete lie because they actually met at a strip club). When they got married (which was in Vegas along with an expensive honeymoon), the honeymoon period seemed as if it would never end... but obviously it did. Both Godfrey and Sooyoung were once very happy with their marriage... until Sooyoung’s costly spending habits started to get worse, Godfrey started to have multiple affairs which Sooyoung was and still is completely unaware of, and Godfrey’s now short temper mixed in with Sooyoung’s childish behavior started to escalate into all out arguments.

As a child, Sooyoung was constantly neglected by her busy parents. She was often alone in the huge mansion they lived in. She also knew at a very young age, that her parents only gave her whatever she wanted out of fear, not love. Thus, Sooyoung never knew what real love was and as a result is a vain woman with a lack of empathy towards others. She doesn’t even tell her husband that she loves him, simply because she doesn’t understand what love is. Her constant neglect by her parents when she was a child, makes her fearful of being alone... this is why during an argument with her husband, she will apologize out of the blue in order for him to not leave her behind. For she had never opened up about her sad and lonely childhood to her husband, but if the show starts to change her attitude then she will eventually tell him about her childhood and why she is the way she is. Regarding her greed, after she inherited her money from her mother and father, Sooyoung began living an even more lavish lifestyle. She has to have the most expensive everything or she will not be happy.

Sooyoung has a cat named Joy and she pampers her and loves on the feline more than she loves on her own husband. Sooyoung hates being told no and if she’s told no, she’ll scream and stomp away angrily. She seems nice at first but she’s really nothing but a rich, bragging, spoiled brat.

In addition to having temper tantrums when she doesn’t get her way, Sooyoung also is a heavy drinker. When she’s drunk, she can be classified as the sad drunk. She switches from sad to seductive when she’s intoxicated.

Sooyoung definitely has a nasty attitude and a serious temper. Her parents spoiled her so much to the point where they were afraid of her if they forgot to give her something she wanted. Around her co-workers however, her demeanor changes. Sooyoung turns into the sweetest person you’ll ever meet, but that’s all a petty facade.

Sooyoung is very sassy in addition to the rest of her traits as well. She is lazy around the house and is used to having servants do everything for her. She doesn’t even know how to cook. Even though she’s rich, she’s definitely not really smart at all, but she knows how to annoy and manipulate people into getting her what she wants.
