Raised in an abusive home for the first six years of his life, and in foster care for the next twelve years, Jungkook never knew what it was like to have a real home or a loving family—probably much like many of the other people in this prison.

jungkook was always a trouble maker without even trying. he was always getting into fights with the other kids at school, and he had been punished for breaking various house and school rules. he spent a lot of time in juvenile detention, especially after he became a high school student.

he got involved with one of the gangs in the city at the age of 12, and the members of that gang became some of his best friends. they helped him through a lot of his hardships, and they were the reason he survived for the last six years.

involvement with the gang meant involvement with drugs, violence, and even the occasional death of innocent people or members from other gangs. this is what would ultimately lead to jungkook getting arrested and sent to the island once he turned 18 and was old enough to be sent to prison.
