seon yein was born from an upper middle class family in wando, south korea. both his parents work on the government, both being law graduates. he was raised and taken care of by his grandparents  since he was young because both his parents had always been busy with work. he does appreciate it whenever his mom and dad would make some time for a family day although most of those would end up with his mother and father debating about certain social issues or law (things that yein cannot comprehend).  his grandparents, who raised him, were quite strict. his grandfather is a really conservative person and he would always scold (sometimes hit) yein whenever the latter would fail to reach his standards. the latter always tried to understand why but he could not help but end up crying all the time- causing his grandfather to get more mad at his 'girliness' and tell him to 'man up'. his grandmother was more gentle and yein looks up to her the most. she had always thought the latter about lots of things like being cooking, stitching, cleaning, among other things that his grandfather would deem as 'things for women'. during highschool, he became interested in technology and physics and although his parents were expecting him to follow their footsteps, they supported their decision to pursue his dream. he moved out of his grandparent's house during his university days and started living on his own. 

In general, he is a gentle, kind and hardworking person. He is wearing an innocent smile most of the time and that rarely changes, given that he tends to be more optimistic. He is not the talkative type and most people who are not close to him would likely perceive him as a shy person. it's not that he's shy. he's just terrible at expressing himself through words since he used to get hit a lot whenever he would try to as a kid. He is like an open book that is really easy to read though, since his facial expression would always betray him. With that said, he find it very hard to lie nor put an act. This trait of him makes him seem more trustworthy. He is a nonconfrontial person and if there is a problem, he always just try to keep things to himself. This side of him makes him so troublesome since everyone can tell that there is a problem but he refuses to talk about it. he may not talk much but he is a very good listener. he is also horrible at giving advice since the only advice he had ever gotten as a kid is to 'man up'. nonetheless, he would try to comfort anyone with hugs and pats or a simple 'There there'. if nothing works, he'll just cry with them. When it comes to his job, he is very hardworking and passionate. there is a certain spark in his eyes whenever he would talk about physics or electronic stuff. however, he is a real pushover for someone who wants to be a teacher so he still has a lot of work to do to improve.
