Growing Up, Hyojong was forced to go to the hospital once a week to visit his father there while he was ill. And even though hyojong's father was ill he had enough strength the hit the young boy any time he had a chance, and when he didn't listen to him. If the nurses caught Hyojong's father hitting him, his father would come up with some excuse as he didn't mean to do it and that he was acting involuntary, so they never really knew about it. Even Hyojong's own mother didn't know about the harm that his father was placing on him, and when his father passed away from the illness hyojong couldn't find himself to step foot into another hospital again.

With the background that hyojong grew up in it caused him to have a lot of anxiety and a lot of fears, but he easily found the comfort that he needed in books, and because he was always reading others would not realize his terrible back story unless they got really close to him and were around him 23/6. hyojong is now an author and writes books to the general public. he is a well known author but not one to be a best selling author and he is okay with that, he has his readers and to him they are his family.

hyojong tries to be a positive guy and act like he is not afraid of anything but in reality he is scared of a lot whether it be with relationships with others or actual physical things that can hurt him.
