lee jihoon was once a boy with many hopes and dreams, a boy with a smile brighter than anything surrounding it. those days were the ones when he had dreamed of becoming an idol, his parents supportive of the idea and letting him move to seoul and audition. he was a young boy that was still so innocent, innocent enough to not be able to consider the possibility of any bad events occurring.

he had continued to be like that during his whole training period, believing everything would be fine as long as he did his best. it was once jihoon had debuted that he had realized how the entertainment world truly worked - it was a cold world, where you had to run to the peak despite the purposely laid out obstacles. despite that, he continued to work hard, trying his best to become famous.. and it had started to have an effect, as the group started to become closer to the mainstream artists, with the help of jihoon's own compositions that they could even mediaplay a little with.

however, the hate started pouring in too, with people accusing them of sajaegi and many insults flying their way. that was the start of jihoon losing the bright innocence that was synonymous with his name. in the end, he decided he could face the insults, and attempted to grow thicker skin to combat it all, since he had s by his side.

he had the leader, who he could always rely on when he needed destressing and help with songs, the gentle hyung who was so polite and kind to each person he met, the mischievous one who would always draw laughs out of their lips and created smiles, and his same-aged friend who probably was second to the leader when it came to understanding him the best. they were a tightly bonded group, and jihoon would do anything for them. it was a thought they all shared, right?

the group continued on for the rest of promotions, fighting against the criticism by putting on amazing performances. it was when the promotion cycle ended that the members had all got a shock.. the group's leader had left the company, deciding he wanted to pursue an acting career after getting a little more fame - he didn't believe in the group to survive long enough for him to make any impact, so he left quickly. jihoon didn't understand him, and he was just frustrated because he had always placed all of his faith in the leader, and had always relied on him when necessary.

the group suddenly needed a new leader, and jihoon was put to the test. jihoon didn't like the idea of being leader, because the previous leader had been great at his role despite ending with betraying them - alongside that, how could he? he was the group's maknae, even the next oldest member still held a 10 month age gap with the boy. jihoon had not regarded himself as ready, but the company had.. so he went along with it.

from that day on, jihoon would either be preparing to lead practices or making new songs, the boy avoiding resting like it was the plague. all he had felt was the burden on his shoulders, and he felt like he needed to prove that he was worthy of the title given to him. despite jihoon's many efforts, the group's popularity just seemed to tumble down more each comeback no matter how hard he tried to make it otherwise.

while the leader that had left was successful, jihoon's group would sleep in a tiny dorm with even tinier kid like beds that only fit jihoon out of all of the members. and then the day had arrived. jihoon hated knowing his day would come so much, but it finally had.. their disbandment day. the company was unable to make profit off of them, so all of their contracts would be not up for renew this time.

when this day had arrived, jihoon's innocence was something of the past, a relic that would never be truly restored. jihoon was grounded, unable to have such wonderful big dreams anymore. he was hard on himself for everything that happened so far, and was about to give up his relatively smaller dream of standing on the stage at least once again.. but that was when this program appeared, so jihoon decided to give it one last shot here.

personality:
lee jihoon is quite serious and secretive, the type to respond bluntly and not let others know much about him - part of him just likes being the one to know more about the other, another part of him just doesn't want to be vunerable to others. perhaps he would open to someone and give his all to them before they would just leave him to struggle, like his previous leader. but the main reason why jihoon's so secretive is that he believes he does not deserve to get close to others, that he will just be useless and ruin them like his previous group's path after he was appointed the leader. he is a total workaholic, spending most of his time practicing his many talents and composing new songs. in the end, he may appear mature and as if he has his life sorted out, but.. in the inside, lee jihoon is just an insecure boy who misses the feeling of standing on stage and would do anything to get that back.
