Despite having a good social skill, Robert prefers to be alone. Quietness is his tranquility but that doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy a good company. Regardless of what happened in the past, Robert is always positive. However, sometimes he would let the past haunt him, let the guilt eat him up as a punishment for what he did to his family. 

Back then, before the huge responsibility was going to be trusted to Robert; he had quite a wonderful life with Lootah. He had a wife and two children (boys - twenty-six and twenty-seven). What led to downfall of their relationship wasn't his wife's fault but rather his. One night, while in rut, Robert had with another male wolf. His wife and children hated him and things were not getting any better for Robert. With the pressure of being a leader and with the elders taking no for an answer , Robert decided to leave before he got kicked out and embarrassed in front of everyone. He didn't trust himself enough to lead. That was three years ago and people still remembered it. The rumor spread like wildfire. Joining another pack would only hurt what little pride he had left hence he settled with the enola, with  a small cabin in the forest.

Fate really wanted Robert to be a leader so bad. He was made a pack beta by the enola's leader, which at first he was contemplating given that he didn't trust himself enough to lead. However this time he accepted it with hopes that he would be able to prove himself, that he could actually lead and be in charge with confidence. 

Robert has a friend (human) who owns a commercial farm in town, which he helps running so he's hardly home.
