her royal highness ; history
on a day in winter where it was the coldest, when the dawn came and the fiery sun was rising to take its throne once more, a beautiful baby was born. she was born with a silver spoon, one could say, having been birthed into the house of lilium as its youngest princess. she grew up with everything she asked for served on a silver platter, receiving gifts from people she did not even know. even when she was born into a family that was well-known for their many talents, she was outstanding — a prodigy, one might even say.
many of the people of the kingdom were her admirers. despite being gifted with luxuries and blessings that most people did not have, she was able to remain humble and held a gentle personality that was only fitting of her delicate features. more and more people came to love her, and she cared for everyone — tried to, anyway.
as a young child, she tended to be a little naive, quite gullible as well. she had an uncle, a few years older than her, who visited her every chance he could when they were younger. they had gotten closer, of course. they bonded over tea and delicacies in the large garden the family of cheval had. shuhua had grown to admire and aspire to be like him when she grew up. after all, he was a righteous man who respected women — a man with many talents —
and one of those talents was acting, she found out when she had gotten ill. she had been poisoned, they told her. gradually poisoned, and now it was finally in effect. she had been unable to walk for days, and she was quite in a delirious state every time she was awake. she was knocking on death's door every single day, but the grim reaper refused to take her soul even as she offered it when the pain got too much.

somehow, her uncle never visited until that one fateful day. shuhua had been ecstatic to see one of her most favorite people in the world. something had been different then, and she should have noticed it, but the medicine had made her unable to think straight. she had not been able to react to him quickly when he touched her in places she did not want him to touch. she had opened to scream, but her voice did not come out.
her sheer will to push him off, her disgust toward him, had enabled her to grab the candle by her bedside table and held the flames to his temples, burning the skin on the left side of his face. perhaps it was adrenaline at the time, but she had managed to stand up from her bed, crawl her way out of her room where she met the cheval knights.
they then took her uncle away from the place, but not without him promising that he would come back for her. she still struggled to forget about him — but how could she ever forget that?
she was soon healed, finally free of the poison her uncle had her take. no one outside the house of cheval heard about that, and she would rather that it remained that way. something had changed, though it had gone unnoticed by most people she had interacted with. she found it hard to trust others then, and distanced herself though she tried her best not to let it show.
now she lives with a grandiose mask that she never removes, or else people would know the secrets she wants to be kept hidden.

miss ye shuhua ; about her
shuhua is a demure lady, the definition of a lilium lady. she is very gentle and soft-spoken, honest and sweet to everyone she meets. she speaks in a polite manner, and she has an air of elegance that no one can miss. she used to be quite naive, but now she is simply distrusting of most of her peers, not wanting to risk being betrayed like that once again. she is also naturally kind, but she cowers away at the mere mentions of the things she is afraid of.
