Forgive and forget. Something he wanted to do shortly after his mother died when he was four. He wanted to come to terms with losing the one person who truly cared for him and needed. The one person he could call out to when he wanted help. She was gone and it was because of the disease called cancer. He had moved from his home in Sacramento to Beijing to live with his father who had disowned him three years prior and that’s when every changed for the worst. He was abused by his father both physically and ually and didn’t have the strength to stand up for himself nor anyone to help him. Slowly he withdrew himself from the world, easily hiding his feelings for people and becoming an empty shell. People would call him Ghost due to his ability to blend in anywhere. What they didn’t know was that he is a suffering schizophrenic. Underneath the quiet and shy young boy was someone who heard voices in his head. Of course, he was on heavy medication for it. None It helped though. There were times were he would just have a small burst of anger at someone for the littlest things and rarely, wouldn’t stop until the person was near death, which had happened once before. J.G was sent to a mental hospital when he was eight years old for two full years before he was able to be sent out into the world once more just to be abused by his father once more. Despite all the bad things aimed at him, he learned how to play the violin, guitar and cello. He also taught himself how to sing, dance and compose songs.
Despite him having schizophrenia, J.G joined Stardust Empire when he was just ten years old and was known as a genius by composers. He was able to make his debut in a six member boy group called Diamond Boys around six months into his training as the main vocalist, dancer and composer. Naturally, he stayed away from them when he could. He was usually by himself and wasn’t the most popular member of the group, always being in last place during rankings, but it didn’t bother him. He was content just being on stage, singing and being away from home. The group lasted for ten years before the company soon went bankrupt due to tons of debt from gambling and people slowly stopped supporting them as a team. J.G slowly grew tired of not being able to sing and dance on stage like he once did before so he decided to leave Taiwan for Seoul and went to look for a new company, any company, to join. No one wanted him in their company and was shot down from every single one without an audition when they saw him walk into the room. So instead of sitting on his , doing nothing, J.G went to YouTube and started posting many videos of himself just singing and dancing to his own original songs and quickly gained thousands of subscribers within two and a half weeks later. He was contacted by many scouts from Fanatic Entertainment countless times by e-mail to join the company but he had declined all three times mainly because he had thought that it was fake and was already busy with his YouTube and other stuff he won't talks about. It took about three phonecalls and an in-person visit to convince J.G to join as a soloist and lives alone with his niece to keep away from the other trainees.
People are quick to judge him. He is known to be afloof and enigmatic while being polished with his work. He is blind in his right eye since he was nine. J.G doesn't care about people think of him at all. It never bothered him. All he cares about is music. It had always been an outlet for him. It was the only way he could express himself. Even though there are times when he has a glimmer of emotions in his eyes, music was the  one thing that helped shape him into the person he is but being an idol wasn't he dream. He didn't have many friends growing up. He poured all of his energy into his music and doesn't go out as much as he should. He enjoys singing and will sing no matter where he is, when he feels like it.
