today, residents know the town as magnolia springs. their only haven.
minnie IS PART OF A LONG LINE OF WITCH ANCESTRY IN HER FAMILY AND IT WAS ONLY NORMAL THAT SHE CONTINUE TO BRING LEGACY TO HER FAMILY'S NAME. there was something very special about her to her parents though. Before her mother had given birth to her, they had summoned the chinese moon goddess, chang'e, while doing a ritual. Having been great followers of her, and she being pleased, asked them for a wish they would like for her to grant. Minnie's parents, knowing their daughter's birth was approaching, wished to always have a part of the moon with them. Chang'e in turn granted their wish with a beautiful smile, shifting a part of her into the womb of Minnie's mother. Not only did Minnie have witch blood in her now, but as well as chang'e's blood, which allowed her magic to be powerful than most others. On her 11th birthday, her parents revealed this to her, and she was overjoyed, having been worshipping chang'e just like her parents since a young age.
when she became 12, the sweet age when girls would get their magical abilities, her parents made sure to get her a mentor. she expertised in lunar magic, finding an interest in the moon and celestial objects beyond the earth realm. she was ultimately given the title of moon witch because of her interest in it.
having relatives in many parts of the town, not minnie nor her family would expect anyone from their kin to use their magic for evil, especially when they had vowed to use their powers for good. sorn, minnie's cousin, had always been her dear cousin. but somewhere along the way everyone had become unsettled with sorn's infatuation with dark magic, and when minnie had discovered her plans of testing her newlyfound magic on humans in their town, she had told her family and they had banished her from magnolia springs. minnie had been shaken seeing the crazed look in sorn's eye when she was thrown out of town, and she had a feeling it wouldn't be the last time she saw her cousin that day. after that, the family had entrusted that minnie would become the heiress of the town when she was older and be part of the protection committee, along with seulgi and yoona, to prevent further dangers to the people.
after the incident, she had contemplated on moving out of town, shaken by the debacle of her own cousin turning against their family. however, she decided her family needed her more than ever now and moved on, deciding TO STAY IN MAGNOLIA SPRINGS permanently FROM THEN ON. SHE MOVED INTO HER OWN PLACE, VISITING HER PARENTS WEEKLY, AND TOOK OVER HER parents' LINE OF WORK WHICH WAS a small antique shop.

— being a part reincarnation of chang'e, minnie is able to live much longer than most other witches if she wishes to. her physical appearance will not age past the age of 21 either.
— she is able to visit another realm of the moon and communicate with chang'e only during the full moon.
— she has the ability of enchanced senses, meaning for her, the five senses are much stronger to experience. for example, she can hear the slightest commotion around her and at times, this ability keeps her alert.
— power replication. this power allows her to deflect an attack from another being and use it on them instead for a temporary period. she doesn't like using this much, but if for the safety of the town, she will use it.
— regeneration meaning that she is able to heal herself from injuries. the speed of healing depends on the strength of her body and mind, but usually, she is able to heal herself in less than a minute.
— she is cabable of telekinesis, moving objects or individuals with her mind. she can also use her eyes and hand doing this to make a full impact.
— vortex creation. by saying the correct enchantment, minnie is capable of creating vortexes that will lead her and others to different places and dimensions.
