BACKGROUND: A chemical experiment. He was born in a laboratory— tubes donning his newborn figure and needles prickling his skin like it was the most conventional procedure for an infant. As he grew out the warmth of his bundle, the tubes and needles slowly diminished replaced by surgical installations that efficiently brought the same effect without the laborious elements enveloping his barely mature physique. The experiment did not only stop at the infusion of venom in his body. He too was taken to train under the wing of infamous formidable individuals especially his father, Bane. 

Years past, Stephen remained locked up in the laboratory, living the same pattern of training, eating, and sleeping each and every day. His leisure constituted of blank canvasses and graphite pencil that his father or mother sneaked in. Contrary to the dark history of Bane, he actually was a good father and husband— having a good reason behind his approval to let his son thrive under inhumane conditions (to which he still does not know up to this day).

When he had ripened to a mature age of 18, Stephen finally had fled the facility and experienced new things beyond imagination— his first step on earthly soil outside the cold tiles, his first sight of lined trees outside the uniform walls, and his first whiff of fresh air outside the musty odor. But it seems that the scientists had a mission for their molded soldier— to wreak havoc in Gotham and bring down Batman.

They sent him to Gotham City, the place his father swore not to step foot again after marrying his mother, with an intent to finish what his father started. Unwilling as he may be, he had no choice but to follow their orders after the illicit threats they whispered in his ears as he stood straight as a log outside their abode during his first night there. 

At first, Stephen was an image out of place in the view; however, it did not took long before his natural allure and eloquence brought him to where he stood now— not to mention, the wealth he had accumulated from being an anonymous errand boy. Proudly an owner of his own tattoo studio, he caters interested individuals on his table at sporadic times of the week because be it as it may, his main goal was his top priority.
PERSONALITY: Taciturn. Subtle. Alluring. Artistic. Irascible. Despondent.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- He had his first tattoo when he came to the city— a remembrance of some sort to his goal. It did not take long before his body was covered in ink, each a different meaning than the other.
- Never spoken to his family since his arrival at Gotham, making him a lone wolf.
- Atramentum is his alias because of the infamous mark made of black ink he leaves at every scene of a crime.
- He is desperate to end this quest; that is why, he will overstep any relationship and moral bounday just to complete his goal.
- As an errand boy, not only are his missions related to Batman but to everyone around him; also, he takes on side quests for additional net worth.
