born to a blood knight with five vampire wives, shuhua was the fourth child out of six daughters, with three older siblings and two younger ones. however, she was very weak at birth and was already on the verge of dying shortly after she had blessed the world. her mother, desperate to save her daughter's life, injected her own blood to literally save shuhua's life. her mother had come from a kingdom lost to humans, carrying blood that was exclusive only to her lineage. shuhua, the latest and last generation of this bloodline, then was saved because of it. the mere action however had turned shuhua's hair into silver, as her mother had given far too much blood to the young princess as a baby.

(vampires of her bloodline, called shinso, are only to have their silver hair when they're very serious or angered. in shuhua's case, since she's unable to control her strength just yet and is given more than what she should have received, her hair has become naturally silver.)

growing up, she was constantly sparring with her younger siblings, who shuhua knew would never win against her, but she never backed down from a challenge, not even out of pity. out of all siblings, shuhua is naturally the strongest, on a league of her own - this has been acknowledge even by her older siblings and parents. however at the age of eighteen years, in fear that her raw power may destroy the poor child, or even the world, her mother has created a rosary for shuhua, an object that was capable of sealing away her powerful vampiric side, rendering her to become almost completely human, aside from the fact that she still has to consume blood and suffers the same weaknesses as a vampire. around her neck was a black choker with a large cross connected to it.

after that, shuhua had been put to sleep as her body adjusted to both personalities. she has been sleeping for at least a hundred years, and when she awakened, she was a person completely different from the shuhua of the past.

she became weak. her appearance changed. her silver hair turned black, her red eyes became as dark as midnight. her strength decreased significantly, and because of this, she became an easy target for other vampires who wanted to drink her blood (to gain her strength).

her personality changed as well. from the highly aristocratic and proud vampiress, she became kinder, more subdued, and shy - the complete opposite of her true self.

when she had awakened, she found out that while she was asleep, the blood knights had been eradicated, including her father. they told her of her mother's demise, and the reason why she died. her mother had died, fighting to save her siblings and shuhua's body, and to completely throw the pursuers off their tracks, she sacrificed herself by completely wiping off the enemy ranks.

shuhua was devastated, and she cursed herself for having to be sealed at such a time. if she hadn't been sealed, would she had been able to save her parents? would she had been able to fight back? she held so many questions, but none of them could be answered then. 

so she asked, what would be the price if she were to remove the rosary?

she was then told that it could only be removed by someone who truly meant no harm toward her and someone who loved her. no matter how much shuhua tried, she could not remove it - even when she was trying to do it to protect herself.

she had been sent away to the human world, where her mother claimed shuhua was safer, as this would keep their enemies from getting to her. yet her life in the human world was not as easy as one would believe.

due to having strange interests as a vampire, the humans around her isolated her, claimed that she was weird and that they would never befriend someone like her. there were a lot of times she had cursed the rosary around her neck. if her true self had not been sealed away, she would have been able to fight back, and then she would not have to leave her home, her lovely sisters and parents back there. yet try as she might, she had never been able to take the cross off. 

she then heard of magnolia springs after a fateful encounter with a beggar by the streets. looking for salvation, she decided to come to the town and find another way to take the rosary off.

Personality shuhua's two personalities greatly vary from each other. they're almost two different individuals sharing one body. the real shuhua is referred to as inner shuhua, while the personality that came to life after she received the rosary is called outer shuhua.

inner shuhua is highly aristocratic and arrogant, cold and reserved. she looks down on any other being that has the audacity to challenge her. her pride as a noble vampiress is very evident in the way she handles things. she is a very strong girl, brave and strong-willed. she possesses a lot of knowledge about other beings and is always willing to know more about them. despite this, she is actually very merciful toward everyone, and will try her best not to kill. shuhua is truly just afraid of being alone in the end, which is why she distances herself from everyone, while she lets outer shuhua roam free.

outer shuhua is the complete opposite of inner shuhua. she is very kind and gentle, almost unable to hurt a fly and is not willing to hurt anyone either. she's really polite and very friendly to others. she is initially a little hateful and distrustful of humans, but she does not show this dislike for them, in fear of what they are able to do with her. she is much more understanding in this form, while inner shuhua is much more mature than the outer one.

— wealth of power: the ability of a shinso vampire to change their shape into almost any form that they wish to be, such as a wolf, mice, bats, mist, or other forms known to folklore. shuhua possesses the power to alter her appearance to how she wills it, such as creating razor sharp bat wings from her right arm and other forms. most shinso vampires do not use this, however, with their obsession with creating and sustaining an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
— blood manipulation: shuhua can control, manipulate, and create blood out of nothing. her ability with the blood doesn't end there, however, as she also has the power to control the individual blood cells within an enemy's body. she can use this ability to cause blood vessels to burst, stop blood flow, solidify/crystallize blood, and many more. with the inner shuhua's terrifying knowledge about a being's body, she can subject her enemies to a torturous session. 
— extreme regeneration: she can heal and restore any fatal wounds she gains, such as being cut into half or into pieces, within moments. she inherited this trait from her mother, known as one of the strongest shinso vampire in the universe.
— sinister aura: in her true form, her aura is very sinister, which instills fear into everyone who sees her. she is more than capable of destroying the world, and is powerful to stand against immortals (gods & other beings).
