changsub's lived a pretty normal life as far as lives go, before coming to the sugar rush motel. he went to school like anyone else, got a degree, had a doting girlfriend and a family he could put up with. sure, he may have a bit of trauma from some event in his childhood that he scarcely remembers, but that's not all that important, is it? no, what's important is moving forward, as stressed by his family...and his girlfriend.. .and his therapist...and pretty much everyone else around him. maybe that explains his urge to always be on the move, away from people. changsub majored in film and photography in school, eventually landing a position to film scenes for documentaries. it allowed him to escape into the wilderness of both urban jungles and rain forests, with himself and his camera. one night he was coming back from such a shoot when he almost fell asleep on his bike, noisily pulling into the parking lot of the first motel he saw. it was just his luck that it happened to be sugar rush, because once he walked in, he didn't know he wouldn't be leaving for a very long time.
