biography

jaehyun is the only child of a couple who live peacefully in the countryside of korea. vast swaths of fields surround their peaceful home, and they were used to jaehyun traveling.

ever since highschool, jaehyun dreamt big, beyond the small dreams he had of the countryside. he didn't want peace, he wanted the chaos of the city. he wanted the roaring traffic to wake him up every morning and the bustling walk ways to mark his day. he had dreams of living in a city where he would have life within reach. it was a sorrowful goodbye when he left his parents for the first time ever, and headed off to study in a foreign country.

every summer he returned to more and more appreciation for home cooked food and his father's terrible jokes. it was hard at first, adjusting to being back home, but soon he knew what they liked to hear: they enjoyed hearing his triumphs at college and learning (as jaehyun did) about life abroad.

years later, Jaehyun completes school with a nursing degree in hand and enough experience under his belt to get him through to the real world. he was on his own, completed a small residency in a city nearby, and now jaehyun found his next step was to network. he had a lumpsum of money with him, meant to sustain himself for a year if budgeted right. 

and then fortune struck: jaehyun was invited to a once in a life time conference, where the biggest pharmacies and nursing programs in the country come together, harvesting the cream of the crop. Jaehyun saw his chance to move out of the home and into the dream he always sought out.

this motel, small and with great reviews online, caught his attention: the sugar rush motel. and for a low, scary-affordable rate per night, jaehyun was enchanted by it's charm, despite being suspicious of the highway.

more over, jaehyun's curiosity was piqued by the way these reviews described the sweets and desserts served by the staff of this motel. his attention was hooked from the words, "decadent," "scrumptious," and "mouthwatering." his own mouth watered thinking about it; this part time food connoisseur was guaranteed to challenge those claims unless proven wrong.
