Background: Despite a love of music from a young age, Hongbin was more than content to stay out of the spotlight. Pushed by his parents to focus on his studies rather than on such an unpredictable field, the extent of his musical experience was his high school's choral ensemble. It wasn't until college that his path began to change. In order to help fund himself, he took on a job as a model, and from there became interested in the work that was more behind-the-scenes. After a couple of torturous years as a model- Hongbin became very serious about limiting his diet, and it resulted in an unhealthy lifestyle and mindset- he quit both the job and his law school education to pursue his budding dream of becoming a stylist.
