• ABOUT ME
jinyoung was born in a quite uncomplicated environment. his family - not only his parents, no, also his aunts, uncles, grandparents, his cousins, and their pets, all of them belonged to his family. just imagine the looks on other people's faces when they got "20" as an answer to the question how many family members he had. they would most likely be talking about the people he lives with, or more like the people he lived with through his childhood years. jinyoung is an only child, and his parents are still married. his childhood was rather uncomplicated, and jinyoung has always been a rather ambitous and independent boy.
it was not too long after his 15th birthday that jinyoung discovered his magical powers - electricity bending. he wasn't the only element bender in his family, his grandfather had exactly the same powers as him. his parents never discovered their powers, so the ability skipped them and appeared even stronger in jinyoung. it didn't help that he was the family's first and only child, either.
since his powers were enormously strong, stronger than his other relatives', he had to be treated with extra care. the worst thing that happened to him when he couldn't control his powers well was that he broke electronic devices when he touched them. it was a shocking experience for jinyoung when his phone shut down immediately as he touched it, when devices just stopped working. at first, it felt like a true curse to him and he started to feel very insecure about himself, distanced himself from people, became a lone wolf under the people he used to hang out with on a daily basis.
jinyoung stopped talking to most people and found joy in reading books. especially in stressful situations, he would just calm his already pretty heated temper by diving into his imagination with a good book by his side. he is more of an introvert, and he tends to stay in the background, but only as long as everything's peaceful. as soon as he senses danger for him or anyone else, he has no mercy. he hesitates to use his powers, especially against other students or humans, but even his way with words and his confident and keen appearance were enough to dominate the most ruthless beasts in the end.

usually, he's a chill guy to be around. he doesn't talk too much and isn't too hyper, and he tends to get annoyed by such people easily, yet he respects and accepts everyone as long as they do, too. he's someone who will stand up for himself and for others, and though he is quite popular, he is rather distant and he tends to deal with his stuff by himself. he hates asking for help and wouldn't ever give his general independence away for anything. he's very interested in literature, art and music, which is why he chose to study visual arts. as for his magical major, electricity bending, you can tell that it's extremely important for him to make use of his abilities and to learn more about them. his favourite quote and motto is "tell me and i forget. teach me and i remember. involve me and i learn" (Benjamin Franklin).
