Seunggi is an exact case of when "normal" becomes some–thing "strange." Born into a family where Every member (besides his estranged uncle) had a quirk, he was the first to be quirkless in, well, generations. You may think this would have caused him to feel unwelcome, but quite the contrary, his family did their best to be inclusive.

As a child Seunggi's father had to transfer to the united states for work, and his parents agreed that perhaps it would be better for their quirkless son to study in the foreign land. After all, it was already a melting pot full of both those with quirks, and those without. It was easy enough to find a school where SEunggi could fit in as someone so "normal" compared to others.

Learning to speak English among other things Seunggi grew well–adjusted to American school Life. His older sister, who indeed had a quirk, attended another school in the same city for those with powers, so sometimes they didn't see each other that often. Even so, you could say his sister was his best friend for most of his life.

Attending college once living on his own Seunggi made it into quite the prestigious university, where he studied in education as a major, with a minor in music performance. He would often stage mini–shows for his older sister, who happened to love his voice. Her favorite song? "You are my sunshine." It became something of a theme for the both of them, accompanying the two on summer picnics and dreary days indoors. 

It was also the last song they played at her funeral.
The worst part is that his sister's death had been so...so sudden. No one had expected it, not even herself. No one had been around in her last moments. No one knew until the phone call arrived shortly after.

SEunggi refused to see anyone after the stranger on the other end of the line "offered their condolences." He was numb, or liked to believe he was, because the pain was too great for him to bear. In the weeks that followed he had a hard time getting out of bed, helping his parents plan the funeral. His sister's funeral. She had been the most important person his life — his best friend, his sunshine. a loss like that? It's hard to even think about recovering.

It took several months for SEunggi to finally get back on his feet, somehow still the same old fellow with a heart just missing a piece. It's a piece he knows will never be filled, and somedays it tears him apart, while others he can accept the fact of what's happened.

He managed to graduate college in the nick of time, just scraping by after the severe drop in his grades, deciding that a change of scenery might do him some good (as did his counselor). So, Seunggi moved back to the place he originally came from, a bit rusty with the language, but getting the hang of it in time. He busied himself with any–thing he could, allowing his music degree to gather dust in the corner of his closet because he refused to sing. He couldn't, he just couldn't...

Eventually, SEunggi landed a position here at the school – an academic counselor to help guide students towards what they want to pursue, as well as tutoring over the weekends if they need any help (in subjects like reading, math, science, etc.). 

Seunggi likes where he is right now. Likes putting a smile on a student's face, and coming up with new ways for them to study or get motivated. Seeing their happiness helps him to be happy, even if just during the school day.

As long as he keeps himself busy, he'll be fine.

As long as he keeps himself distracted, he'll be fine.
