phil was always considered an extremely odd kid. as a kid he was frequently teased and bullied for being him; a red-haired nerd with glasses who always had something strange to say. it seems, however, this treatment barely impacted him. if anything the torment led to him being an almost painfully cheerful person. above all, it made him decide to be a teacher to help kids like him.
 

 

he got his teachers degree and taught in his hometown in northern england for a few years before moving here to start fresh. with his bright personality and clothes, tall and lanky frame, thick accent, and round glasses, he unintentionally makes a statement wherever he goes. he's vibrant and the typical dad type friend with a thing for coffee, gardening, dogs (he has a corgi named susan!), and, of course, kids.
