But first of all, let's start with something more personal. As much as I love other people's works, knowing that they have more beautiful ways to say 'I love you', I still think it's much more meaningful to at least try on my own.

now that I'm actually trying to come up with something, it's quite embarrassing, but I already made up my mind to give you something special so I'll still try my best to put those things into words.

I think I've always had a soft spot for you. maybe it was your small build, maybe the cute bunny teeth, maybe just the way you would smile at me when we talked, how you would accept my flawed self with open arms. Or maybe it was a mix of all those things and so much more. 

Fact is, I've known for a long time now that you are someone very special to me. since that day I took you to my favourite place , actually. but I pretended it was just casual, tried to convince myself that there was no way I could become this attached to someone that quickly. so i continued to meet other girls, continued being nice to them. It's nothing I'm really proud of, but even when I told you about them you continued to believe in the good in me. but fact is, you're the one who is truly good.

after that things somehow naturally fell into place. girls came and go, but none could make me feel this excited just by talking to them. no one, but you. 
And I made a choice. the me who didn't want to date anyone because it's bothersome actually thought that maybe, perhaps, if it was you, settling down didn't sound half bad.

Still, nothing much changed between us. I wasn't in a rush, you didn't seem either. why should we when everything was working out perfectly and naturally, right?

I don't know why that day I sat down to talk to you, confessing my feelings to you for the first time. Maybe, despite always knowing that chances were pretty high, I just wanted some certainty. or maybe I just wanted to be able to openly say 'i love you' to you  whenever I wanted. Maybe I just wanted to hear 'I love you' back.

ever since that day, life with you has been a bliss. darling, thank you for coming into my life and fill it with so much happiness. no matter what you think of yourself, even at times when you have no self-confidence, to me you are one of the most beautiful people in this world, both inside and out.
