- Mixin's parent were both heavily involved in gangs, her mother was the daughter of a gang leader, and was to step on her father's place, should anything happens to him. Mei's father was the right-hand man of the opposite gang which always were against each other. Through the war between those two gangs a love story was created. Mei's parents fell in love, and wanted each other so much that they left everything behind them and went together. The problem was they weren't even allowed to live freely and in love. 
Even after many years together and after getting a daughter, they were found and cruelly killed. Seeing first hand what a cruel world the gangs were, Mei vowed herself to never get in that world. She changed her name, and identity, not wanting anyone one from any gang to know her or her relation to any gang.
