Renjun was raised in a family of Ravenclaws. He was different from the outset; unlike his family, he never bothered pursuing knowledge for the sake of it, but only what was useful. Rather, he spent his time quietly observing people: why they did things the way they did, and what drove them.

Reserved as Renjun was, he always seemed to have a way with words; what he wanted, he got, and he seemed to know that the premises of intellectual debate and acute reasoning worked well with his family. With others, a sweet smile and a 'please' would sometimes do. He spent his life manoeuvering around obstacles, much like an elusive slippery snake somehow still in the favour of all. Thus his sorting into Slytherin came as a surprise to absolutely no one, and there he thrived, building a reputation for himself to work towards being the Head Boy one day.

personality
Renjun is an extremely agreeable character. He prizes himself on reading and accomodating people well, which makes him able to mould to anybody's liking easily. He communicates well with interested questions, statements and witty comebacks.

Owing to his good interpersonal skills, the Slytherin holds a series of mysterious, important connections, and is often the go-to for information, or if you really need a favour - he asks for a reasonable price.

Renjun's downfall? He has the ability to hold a grudge indefinitely. When one crosses his bad side, he has no subtlety in his dislike for them, and his honeyed sarcasm can ruffle many feathers. The Slytherin, of course, knows the importance of maintaining good links, especially when it comes to important alumni, professors and staff, or students with potential. However, his 'honesty is the best policy' belief makes it hard for him to fake sincerity when it's needed. In short, Renjun is a terrible actor.
