hakyeon's parents knew how to raise their boy. he grew up in an extremely loving home, where he was taught and always reminded to treat others with the kindness and respect he would like to receive himself. that being said, hakyeon never went a day without showing just how big his heart really was. as a child, all those around him loved him. he was the oldest of all his friends, and he always seemed to have an old soul, wise beyond his years. this gave him a special place in most hearts that he touched.

he grew up living an easy life, and though he was by no means completely blessed, he was provided for in all the right ways. he took care of those around him. soon, he came to realize just how much he enjoyed taking care of others. initially, it started with him babysitting some family friend's children, but it soon came to be even bigger than that.

in his early twenties, the man came to be the owner and creator of the daycare center "patter paws". with his reputation, charm, and loving heart, the establishment began to grow. he realized then how much he loved his work and that he would do anything to protect and care for the children of zootopia.
